So, was the movie enough of a success to continue the series and have a few more movies?
Have you talked to Scifi Channel on it.
The perfect timeslot on Friday night is the 7:00 slot the hour before John Doe. Or the time slot between John Doe and SG-1.
Perhaps bring Shepard and Zoe's husband back as spirit guides or clones.
Went to see the movie the first day, first showing in the early morning, on the big screen. Large theater, and when the movie was finished, and the lights came up, the theater was rather full. Never seen that large a crowd for the earliest show.
It stayed at the theater for a while. We ordered the DVD ahead of time before it came out.
The fans are hungry for more, so how much more successful does the movie have to be?

It kinda bombed in the theaters, but it's doing quite well on DVD. According to Joss, his phone is "silent and withdrawn". Hopefully Universal will get the hint with the continuing good sales of the DVDs, and the sales of the inevitable special edition DVDs, and the sales of merchandise. The Browncoat ranks are higher than ever and I'm sure that a sequel would do better in the theaters.

Much more likely that we get a sequel or mini-series from Universal than another tv series. Although if we did get a series, I sure hope they don't stick it of friday night, that's where tv shows go to die.

Oh, and NO! to "spirit guides" or clones, that's just not Firefly.
