SINGATE

Spend way too much time battling my computer at chess. Ditto with online poker, at least I can play against other people and earn some coin.

On the PS2 I still like to pop in San Andreas and wreak a little havoc. When I raise enough hell the army shows up to take me down and a soldier will yell out "two by two!" referring to the fact that they always come in pairs. Just like one of Pavlov's dogs I inevitably reply "hands of blue".

Still have some fun with God of War. Beautiful graphics with great gameplay. I just got Legacy of Kain: Defiance back from my brother to see how it looks on my new TV. It is gorgeous. While the gameplay isn't the best both the voice acting and storyline are top notch. Being a couple years old it is probably a steal for anyone interested in checking it out.

I play a lot of FPS games like Halo 1&2, CS, Ghost Recon, Gun, etc... I also really enjoy RPGs like KoTOR 1&2 and Jade Empire. I think it would be awesome if they made a Firefly game in the same format as KoTOR, or maybe an FPS set during the war. Hmm... Anyone know the E-Mail adress for a game designer? I know I would play anything Firefly related, whether it sucked or not.

You're welcome on my boat. God ain't.

You mean besides "See if you can answer the crazy person in the same type of illness-speak"?

I am currently playing the sh*t out of Dungeon Siege II. Unfortuantely, it's cutting into my fanfic-writing time; but, I'm just trying to reach a good stopping point, I swear. (NB: The oldest excuse in the world.)

During football season, Madden NFL.

Good games to check out: KotOR I and II; XIII ('Thirteen'); Max Payne I & II; Half Life II (if your machine can run it). Older games for aging comps: Tachyon: The Fringe (starring Bruce Campbell); Oni (3rd person shooter with hand-to-hand and kung fu).

As regards "Freelancer": It is the one game I've ever played that -- after you win and see the nifty CGI victory scene and credits roll -- you can go right back to playing it with your current ship and money. Cruising around to various 'dark spots' on the map to find new ships and weapons is pretty cool. A Firefly mod for the 'aftergame' would be pretty cool. You don't get shot at as much. You could even do it without armaments if you gave it a blindingly short run-up-to-hyper time. I always thought the 'buying low and selling high' aspect, though a bit tedious, was more fun than playing hare to the hounds. To make it more true to Firefly, instead of buying weapons and ammo (missiles), you could buy these labeled as 'protein bars' or 'strawberries', 'compressor coil' or 'grav boot', and have them run out as time is spent in transit; if you totally run out, your mid-bulk transport comes to a dead stop wherever you happen to be. You could also rename countermeasure devices as 'crybaby'. I'd probably still allow for depth charges as a means of defense and maybe the mounting of a single low-energy weapon (Class 1 laser?), just big enough to do some mining with.

The rest of the game would be your "standard run-and-hide scenario"...

Just some thoughts.

Respectfully,

zoid

P.S.
In the 'aftergame', I generally just outrun lane-jumpers rather than waste time and resources fighting them. The big money's in trading. A custom-modified really fast freighter with a Serenity skin would be awesome. Some home-and-explode crybabies would work nicely too.

OBLIVION!!!!!!!!!!
It is sucking up all of my time right now. Before I got Oblivion I was playing Psychonauts, and games off of i-am-bored.com

In general I prefer RPG's (Baldur's Gate, Planescape Torment, Morrowind), with FPS's coming in second (Deus Ex, Unreal Tournament) RTS's third (Total Annihilation, Red Alert 2).

The only videogame I ever, ever play is Halo 2. I have a Nintendo 64 and a Gamecube. I very occasionally play Jet Force Gemini or Legend of Zelda Ocarina of Time on my trusty old N64, and the only reason I have a Gamecube at all is because I want to play the next Zelda game, Twilight Princess. But really the only times I play videogames are when I'm at somebody else's house where we all play Halo 2 on Xbox Live. I know its hopping on the bandwagon, but it is a damn fun game.

I WANT TO BELIEVE

there's so many to choose... i'll go with the first 5 that come to mind; Kotor 1,2 (i'm counting them as one game so i can fit more on my list), halo 1,2 (same as Kotor), Ocarina of time (just beat it again), Meteos (i saw little blocks falling in my dreams.... i might want to see a doctor about that), Mario Kart (for the GC N64 and DS, like them all)

Right now it would have to be Rome Total War, Civ4, Star Wars Empire at War, and The Movies.
