In Empire magazine's April 2006 issue, the results of the Readers' Poll came in.

Best Film:

Serenity came in at #4, trailing behind:

#3: Million Dollar Baby
#2: King Kong
#1: Sin City

Best TV Show:

Firefly was #4, just behind:

#3: The Simpsons
#2: Arrested Development
#1: LOST

Hero Of The Year:

At #3, in came, and I quote: "Mel Reynolds(Serenity)"

"Mel" was narrowly beaten by:

#2:Batman
#1:Marv (Sin City)

(Honestly, last issue they called us Browncoats "Trenchcoats", now THIS!)

Best Trend Of 2005 had:
#5: Getting back to Storytelling

And on an amusing side note, Geoge Lucas won #3 in both Worst Director and Most Overhyped Movie for "Revenge Of The Sith", which also won the Biggest Upset Of 2005 award.

(And no, Joss and Serenity were nowhere in those lists.)

I find it amusing that 2 of the top 4 tv shows were cancelled by Fox.
