Ok...I have a plan... when Slither comes out... go see it 16 times....take 4-6 people with you every time you see it...when it is released on DVD buy a copy for everyone you know(including the greeter at Wal-Mart)...this way we can make Nathan Fillion into a huge star(which he deserves to be anyhow)..then since he really loves Firefly(unless he's been lying in all his interviews) ...he say to his agent.. "I want to do another Firefly season"...Joss will say "Hell Yes"...all the TV corps will have a bidding war over it...and we will have the return of our Big Damn Series!!!!

How could you be fighting at a time like this?...You're usung up all the air.

Well, naturally I wish Nathan well in his career and all that.

But if Slither becomes a big hit, we're more likely to see him in Slither 2 instead of Serenity 2.

Maybe you should think about spending your extra cash on some copies of Serenity to give away, instead of on overpriced theater tickets... just sayin'.

I think Nathan's success could be a boon to us. If he gets so big he can demand what he wants... perhaps he'll wish to make another Serenity movie, but more likely DonCoat is right, TPTB will want him to do Slither:2. A series will become more distant with Nathan's success in films.

I think just doin' what we are doin', buyin' the DVD's and sharing and recruiting and writing letters is the right path.

I wanted to add that I wish Nathan well... he's perhaps the best actor I've ever seen, and I think they are gonna find this out soon. Success for him is a given at this point. I just hope his success means more for us too. Sorry, Nathan, but I'm selfish. *shrug*

Yea, I know Adam was in Independence Day

and it hasn't effected him being in the series or the movie, and it may be that Nathan's success wouldn't limit that either. But the farther out we get from the series being on tv and the bigger each of these actors get.. the harder it'll be to come home to a series. I want all the success and happiness in the world for each and every one of them. But I also want more Firefly.

I know I can't have my cake and eat it too, but just like I used to tell my Dad when he told me that... I know.. but I can't help wanting.

okie dokey then.. this is what I have been saying in SEVERAL THREADS!!!

When actors get big.. they CAN pursue pet projects too.. I think when NF gets to be the star we know he will be.. he can and will get another greenlight for Serenity 2... while I would LOVE Firefly returns.. I think another film is more likely...

Same with Joss.. if Wonderwoman makes mega bucks.. he will be more fawned over by studios and any pet projects of his would get serious consideration...

Slither has all the markings of a big hit.. scary.... funny... aimed at 14 year old boys.. I am sure it will make a LOT OF MONEY.. and to the degree we can help.. well why the hell not!?!?

Good luck to Nathan.. he deserves to be a bigger star and that will mean we get to see him a lot....which would be lovely....

and no disrespect to Adam who was in Independent Day.. but he was part of a HUGE ensemble and was not expected to carry the film... that makes a difference..

We need to keep supporting our BDH's no matter what they are doing.

I also agree that Sliver will be a big hit and that Nathan will finally get some recognition for this. Sadly I wish it was Oscar material he was working with, because he's just that good, but this will get lots of attention and make lots of money. Horror always sells well. It also has a director who has been getting lots of attention lately, who is speaking very highly of Nathan.

I'm going to it! I'm gonna hide my eyes during the really gross parts and peek out when our shiny Cap'n is on the screen. I want to see him all big and wonderful up there again. He's gonna be a movie star, a big damn movie star.
