Serenity has been moveing up in movies ordered every week its been on Comcast On Demand movies. It started #5 in its fist week released, then moved up to #4 in its second week, and now in this last week it moved up to #3 one spot ahead of Wedding Crashers.

So apperently its been getting a word of mouth on ppv On Demand.

I was really glad to see this, because where I live we have Mediacom and although Serenity was on the pay per view ( and i rented it too!) it was only there 4 days then it skipped a couple, then one final two day run. That's paltry. I just don't understand how come they took it away so quickly.

This is good news indeed that other people are getting to watch the BDM! I hope this makes a difference to the intake for the movie. Does anyone know how much it helps?

Well I thought I would add that it's moved up to #2 for this last week. So thats good news that Serenity keeps movieing up the list. While movie like The Island, which was #1 last week drops right off the top 5 list.

Being #2 surely makes it a big hit, no? They put The Island up in HD and it hardly lit up the box office, didn't do much better than Serenity I believe.

Yeah I guess your right about the Island being a flop, so maybe Comcast has some sort of deal with the studios on what moves are in HD. But it's still nice to see Serenity starting to get some word of mouth.

Oh and btw Firefly is #2 on Amazon's DVD list and Serenity is #9.

Checked my Mediacom schedule and it's back up for a couple of viewings today, tomorrow and on the weekend! Good news, albeit limited.

These rentals on ppv may stimulate some buying too. People who rent it may want to own it. Then they are gonna want Firefly too, we all know it!
