Jaynestown.

('cause, well, I'm a Jayne freak)

Soooo, Captain, what does it take to get invited down for a weeklong workin' vacation? You've already got a cook, obviously, and I ain't too bright, but I don't get seasick and I can clean and lift semi-heavy things.

Because I think the name has to mean something, and if your boat means prosperous or golden- well then you can hope for shiny times ahead!

Besides, I like Cook! so I figure I should side with her.

I agree kinda like "The Sernity". I have a rather romatic view of the sea so the cook naming the boat and it being kinda like Sernity sorta has some meaning and romace. She named it and it being kinda like your favorite "Movie/TV" shoe lots of meaning in there.

Also, I think that everyone should have "Following Seas and fare winds". Is that how it goes. Shiny times...in the future.

Half a vote for Fairlight, a name I've always loved.
Half a vote for Jaynestown, for solidity, and to honor his eternal Cobb-ness.
(When we vote for captions we get to do two!)

Had I but known the kind kind o' life ye were livin' I'd'a suggested MARGARITAVILLE, PARROTHEAD, or (mining even more ancient musical history) JOHN B.

BTW the ocean's no fun when there's no wind.
And if you liked the rum scene in PotC when you were in the theatre, get the disk and look at the full-length version.

My vote.

I'm not translating it so much as assuming it's the central star of the Pleiades. Did ya know in one of the myths surrounding Alcyone, she was changed into a Halcyon? My suggestion ties to Cook's.

i figure a boat needs a star to steer by.

TWG...Thanks for the Info and yes a ship does need a star to steer by...

Now, bring me that horizon...

Im gonna look more into that star thingy... The Cook already knows about such things so I just listen to her on those matters...
