I watched a rerun of CSI last night and saw Zoe playing a woman's prison warden in the episode "XX" of CSI. What is funny is that I have seen that episode before. Before I ever got into Firefly. I always thought Zoe looked familiar, but couldn't quite place it. I gotta say I like her better as Zoe than I did in CSI. She was a bit of a B****. I also saw an episode of CSI where River had a small part. That episode was, "What's Eating Gilbert Grissom". Love it when I spot members of our favorite crews in roles other than Firefly. I also caught the movie Blast From the Past with Alicia Silverstone and Brendan Fraser and saw our favorite captain as Cliff, Alicia's ex-boyfriend. Laughed as I watched it.

Yeah, you'll see Zoe everywhere...from Hercules and Xena to the Matrix movies. I've only recently gotten into Firefly but have been a Gina Torres fan for years. And let's not forget or beloved Captain's best role as the evil preacher Caleb on the last season of Buffy. I laughed hysterically everytime he appeared onscreen.

The actress who plays Nandi (the madame from the Heart of Gold) also appears on two episodes of CSI, playing the madame of bondage and discipline establishment. I think the same actress was on Xena at some point, which makes for the same triple crossover as Gina Torres. Hmmm.

Yep, she played Lady Heather. She's a dominatrix, who has a thing for Grissom. Anyone see a pattern here with her hitting on the main men in the show? Although, she didn't get anywhere near as far with Grissom as she did with Mal. She's going to be back in the new episode tonight as well.

I completely forgot Gina was on there until I read this thread and then *facepalm*.

She'll be in tonight's ep? Thanks for the head's up! Melinda Clarke, I think that's her name - I just loved her Lady Heather character in the previous eps. I haven't been able to watch much CSI this year, but I'll make it a point to tonight.

However, she did get pretty far with Grissom in the episode "Lady Heather's Box". They did have a night together, but Grissom screwed it up by suspecting her of murder. One of few times we get to see a softer side of Grissom.

Sorry, my mistake it's next weeks ep and I agree that she got further with Grissom than anyone else has, but I really can't see her and Grissom in the same position as her and Mal and frankly I don't want to, lol. Thinking about Grissom having sex is almost as bad as thinking about my parents having sex. I'm sure it happens, but I don't want to know about it, lol.

Wow, that's another reason to catch CSI tonight.

My wife and I have often speculated on just how far Grissom and Lady Heather went in scenes that we just don't see. For that matter, we've long suspected that Grissom has some kinks he keeps carefully hidden. Hmmm, maybe my wife and I have smutty minds . . .

BTW, while watching Desperate Housewives, which my sister gave us on DVD, we spotted the actor who plays the Fed in "The Message," appearing as an annoying ex-husband, very similar to the role he also played on Judging Amy. (Yeah, we watch way too much TV out here in the forest.)

Yep, and another Firefly Alum is in Desperate Housewives. Lynette's husband, Tom, was the officer that interviewed each of the crew members in "Bushwhacked." Gotta admit, I like him much better as Tom!

Another Firefly alum I saw was Niska. I was flipping through the channels and he was on an episode of Ghost Whisperer. Didn't someone say that Simon appeared on that show as well? Thursday's episode of CSI with Lady Heather looks pretty good. Can't wait to see it.

Our Gina plays another warrior woman named "Hel". It was a quirky show, but still pretty fun to watch.

Mark Shepherd (Badger) was also on CSI - Season 3, I believe - "The Hungry Artist" - he played a complete b*****d of a modelling agent.

I've also been a Gina Torres fan for years. I first noticed her as Anna in 'Alias'. She kicked ass there too.

Also, Doug Savant, the Alliance Officer in 'Bushwacked' played Matt in 'Melrose Place'.

Michael Hitchcock - Dr Mathias.

A Christopher Guest Rep player in "A Mighty Wind", "Waiting for Guffman", and uptightest of all in "Best in Show."

Running with some big damn acting dogs there...

I loved Micheal Hitchcock in "Best in Show", which is one of my most favorite movies, ever! When I saw Serentiy and he was on the screen I actually laughed out loud because I remembered how funny he was in that movie! I got a few looks in the theater, but I just couldn't contain myself

On swordplay-related matters...

How about Edward Atterton (our Ath) playing Duncan Idaho in some Dune thingy.

Ended up mostly dead, which, on balance, is still an awful lot better than being er... blackballed, I suppose... by Companion Central.
