There's no place I can be since I found Serenity.

I know there have been a few people concerned that Sci-Fi Channel had dropped repeats of Firefly off their schedule. The last time they ran it was a 12-hour marathon on January 6 with no other airings scheduled through February. I have been checking every day to see when they would have their March schedules posted, and they are there today.

Firefly will air on Friday, March 10, from 10am-7pm (U.S. Eastern Standard Time). No indication yet which episodes it will be, but considering the last marathon was Bushwhacked thru Objects in Space, maybe they will be starting over with the original pilot Serenity, Part 1.

This is indeed good news. I saw Firefly the first time on SciFi and was hooked immediately.
This means there will be new recruits...folks watching for the first time who can't help but fall in love.

Plus I like watchin' 'em on tv! It's fun knowing other folks are watchin' along and enjoyin'!

Having been introduced to Firefly through the DVDs, I have a hard time watching them with commercials!!

But it's nice to see them back on tv

I’m no linger so let down by Sci-Fi Channel. Still let down cause they ain’t showing it sooner. Not that I don’t have the DVD’s, I just like the idea of more new people watching the show.

I too was introduced to Firefly through Sci-Fi Channel.

If there was an emoticon jumping up and down with joy, this would be the tread for it.

Yay! I saw the last 4 eps of the marathon, which encouraged me to borrow the DVDs from a pal, which encouraged me to buy them! Hopefully, others will become hooked as I did! I was already on my way to becoming a Browncoat after seeing the movie, but the Sci-Fi marathon led me to spend my coin on the DVDs!

seeing as I am also a SciFi marathon recruit, from the Fall '05 marathons, so the return of the FireFly marathons is very encouraging. With any luck we will get some new recruits outa this. Might I also add that this shows that SciFi still has an intrest in the Franchise so participating in the letter wrighting campaign would not go amiss. Think I'll go write some more E-mails myself.

Just wondering who will be able to watch. Does March 10th fall into a school vacation week in any part of the country? If not, then the first 1/2 or so of this marathon will be wasted as far as high scholl aged potentials. I could see college students tuning in.

I keep wondering why they continually keep putting these "Firefly" marathons on weekdays which aren't holidays? Bizarre. Don't they want people to actually see it? Might as well bury it at 2AM, while they're at it.

Marathons should be on weekends or holidays when the majority of people can watch it.

Ridiculous scheduling.

I so have no faith in the people who make any of these decisions. They perpetually demonstrate their incompentence. It's incredible that anything good ever makes it onto television, much less gets a decent time-slot these days.

I Agree it should be on the weekends so everyone could watch it. But I'm still thrilled its on!
THa's how I got to be a browncoat
watching the si fi channel

TRASH - was the one that caught my attention - a
naked man on a rock - saying that went well?!!!

The humor of the show is fantastic!

Friday March 10.... Looks like a good “sick-day” to me.

And for those of you who feel inclined to write to Sci-Fi Channel, I got this from one of the other threads.

Great! They're running it while a lot of people are at work, or at school.
Everyone can't be taking "sick days" off just because something's on TV.
Sheesh.
Here's an idea: Why not give us a Saturday from 10am-7pm?! Sci-Fi Saturday is notoriously crappy. Why not do everyone a favour and show something good for a change: Like a Firefly Marathon!

America loves a winner!

Ok, all you John Doe haters...are you happy NOW?? You're getting your precious Firefly series back on SciFi.

j/k

That is good news. Very good. Now maybe more folks will give John Doe a chance.
