(i just got this daily calander of '03 and was going through the old pages)

Friday February 21

"On this day in 1864, the Confederate cavalry of Jubal Early rides into the Cumberland, Maryland, headquarters of Union generals George Crook and Benjamin Kelley and takes the two men captive without much resistance."

If I’m not mistaken Jubel Early was an ancestor of our own cap'n tightpants. And that’s why they threw the name in.

You are correct. I heard that Nathan is a descendant of Jubal Early and told Joss, who is a big Civil War buff. And since Joss loves wierd names... there you have it.
