Switchy, I know how you feel about coming up with more stuff to post. It's hard to be a fansite for a television series that is not on the air anymore.

FIREEFLYFANS.NET was supposed to be an experimental multi-year project for me, but it got derailed with the cancellation of the series. The reality is, at some point, the Firefly information well will run dry. Unless Joss, Tim, or someone close to the production sends me a wealth of stuff about the series, I'll have nothing to post.

The bright side, and there is always a bright side, if Joss ever wants to do another series, I'll have all the parts necessary to build the coolest website for his new show.

Hey Hakan,

If the #'s are right on these posts it's outrageous how many people are checking in here regularly. You should send these figures to someone over at FOX (sorry for using the 3 letter word)just so they know how much the show is missed.

If I could make you purdier I would.

Knowing Fox, they are probably more likely to send a herd of lawyers with Cease and Desist letters rather than do anything constructive with such information.

I don't know, maybe. You'll have to take that up with Grayshway. Just be patient more will come, we should all be masters at that by now, right? If you need, there are hyperventilation bags in the seat in front of you.

On another note, just saw Richard Brooks (Jubal Early) on Law and Order and the whole time I was waiting for him to say, "Does that seem right to you?"

I think it's like a Mexican Stand-off. They were probably refering to spaghetti westerns, when both men draw and the woo-woo sounds.

Actually it's probably more of a combination of a reference to a stand-off and John Woo, the chap who is currently making all those lovely movies about people knocking each others' blocks off or shooting each other.

On a more interesting note, Joss Whedon - In the comic 'Fray' - told the story of one of my favourite stand-offs (Woo-offs) of all time. Fray, head to head with a criminal, guns to each others heads... The guy begins with "Well, It looks like we got a standoff here..."
That's the point when Fray shoots him in the head and says "No, we don't."

Good scene.

Twelve spheres of unendurable brightness spalled the velvety blackness of space.
The silence on Lester Tourville's flag bridge was absolute
And then the spell was broken as Shannon Foraker looked up from her console from where she had just sent a seemingly innocent command to the main computers of State Security's finest Superdreadnoughts.
"Oops." She said.

Yep. Think "Face/Off" when Cage and Travolta first pull the guns on each other in the church. You know--before it gets really stupid and drawn out.

Mark, what's your sig in reference to?

We will need a diversion...perhaps if we were to yell out that Mel Gibson was signing autographs at the local starbucks, or better yet yell "There is a guy around the corner who has a brilliant idea for a reality show" then we just get out of the way while everyone storms out to find him and hear his idea, and we sneak in.... Hi Sarahetc, the Sig's a reference to a passage in one of David Weber - My favourite author - 's books. Ashes of Victory... I had to paraphrase it a little but it's a great scene.
