Sounds GREAT!
Hey, Mr. Universe, I've been looking for the "Hero of Canton" song. Do you know of any great places that I can go to to find some good audio? I would SO appreciate it!

Mr. U,

Is there anyway to get a playlist? I only get to listen at home, and end up missing most of it. I'd like to know what was played.

Thanks.

I wish I could, but that is a serious violation
of not only our host [live365.com] but legal
reasons as well. Contact me via email if you would
like me to burn a CD. No charge. Just for fun.
That goes for everybody here that would like some driving music.

Have you looked into running a SHOUTCAST broadcast instead?

Do you know anything about Shoutcast? Is it better, you think?

I use live365.com simply because I can monitor my signal independent of my computer with my "D-Link
Media Lounge" setup. It has live365,com built in!
no computer needed!

I think so, mostly because it gives you a lot more freedom as a broadcaster. I haven't looked at the latest software, but from what I remember, the server software runs on a central server and DJs connect to the server to have the music broadcast out.

On the plus side, you can have DJs from around the world doing live shows (with talking if you have mic) from their computers. You can also have an automated requests and playlists setup.

On the downside, the server needs to have a lot of bandwidth to handle the single incoming stream from the DJs and the mulitple outgoing streams to the listeners. Also a computer from one of the DJs must be streaming to the server to keep the signal alive.

And from what I remember, all you need to be a DJ is Nullsoft's WinAmp.

For those not familiar, here is SHOUTCAST's site:
