First words out of my daughter's lips: "I want one."

Then I pointed out the ornament. "Okay, I want two."

As a Zippo afficianado, I love it. Just wish it was an etched logo instead of enamel. See, I use my Zippos as a point of honor, and no matter how careful you are, enamel finishes eventually scratch up.

And hey, ain't this the first-ever model of Serenity in any form? Shiny!

USA only it seems There is no international payment method you could use.

- credit cards [...] if they were issued by an American bank
- cashier's checks and money orders denominated in U.S. dollars and drawn on a U.S. bank

Hopefully this will show up on a more foreigner friendly shop later on

I know from experience that TFAW.com is very friendly to "foreigners", and definitely supports international credit cards issued by banks outside the US.

Visa is Visa everywhere in the world. If your card has the Visa logo and the merchant accepts Visa, it will be accepted.

The implication here is that the card will be charged in US dollars, so be prepared for some exchange rate fees and such when it's translated into your country's currency.

I'll mention this to TFAW the next time I order. Their customer service is awesome, so I'm sure they'll clarify it on their site as soon as they read this.

Here's a link to all of TFAW's current Serenity products. Besides the zippo and ornament, they still have some of the individual Serenity comics in stock, and the graphic novel is coming out January 25th.

Do you have comic book stores in your country? If you see Dark Horse Comics anywhere, the store may be able to preorder the Serenity "model" and Zippo lighter. Where did you buy the Dark Horse Serenity Comic books?

Wow! I mean Whoo-hoo!

First, Serenity T-shirts at Hot Topic stores in US and now Serentiy Zippos and Serenity "model" ornaments.

Hey, Dark Horse Comics, I would still buy a Serenity 2006 Calendar even if it is April or later. Want a Serenity Reaver model too!!

Hmmm, Serenity Valentine cards???

Actually I wrote you yesterday. Did it not get through?

I bought one of the ribbon pins and a lanyard off you (I assume) at the Tampa advance screening last year, I wrote to make sure you still had them before I posted pics. If all is well I'll add them.

It seems to be virtually impossible to order them directly at lego or anywhere else (it's just not affordable and the used colors are quite rare).

Actually, it isn't. www.minimodelmadness.com has had one for a bit now. I bought one in December and put it together. It's about three and a half inches long and painted up beautifully. I intended to put it on the Christmas tree but it's been in a place of honor on the top of the television stand since.

I spent most of the day trawling through lego to make that Serenity ship. She's shiny!

I had to make significant modifications to the tail due to a lack of resources (read: good bits of lego.) And of course she's not all the same colour, but I figure that just gives her more of a "Serenity" feel.

How do i post a pic here? hrmm... let me photobucket....

Against my better judgement, I ordered the Zippo. I'd been considering it every time I saw it (like, uh, a dozen or more times a DAY...) but when you're used to Bics a Zippo can be mighty dangerous, as it doesn't shut itself off if you drop it. I feel like living dangerously, though.

I promised I wouldn't buy comics. But how can one pass up such a deal! Looks like I'm going to need another closet soon.

Walk tall, or don't walk at all...
