It appears that the Blue Sun Room is for people who create "Firefly/Serenity" related works, art, writing, games, etc.

At least that's the impression I got from a visit there.

It doesn't seem like anyone who actually knows wants to say. Maybe it's a secret.

"You think we should be usin' my fame to hoodwink folks?"

GEDEON

It's a page right here on Fireflyfans.net.

I post there often. It's the place to put your fanfic and pictures. If you log in, you can post anything you want. Just read the line on the top that says HOME, COMMUNITY, MY FIREFLY... You'll find the Blue Sun Room soon enough...

have fun!

As people have responded, the "Blue Sun Room" is the name of a section of this web site dedicated to the sharing of various forms of fan art. However, my impression from your post is that you are asking more generally about the "Blue Sun" from which the "Blue Sun Room" is derived.

In the Firefly 'verse, "Blue Sun" is the name of a large, ubiquitous corporation akin to Coca-Cola, Microsoft, and Wal-Mart all rolled into one, that, though never really developed, is purported to be one of the larger evils behind the Alliance. You can see the logo in the backdrop of most episodes and the movie - for instance on bottle and can labels, crates, in commercials, etc., and River has dropped a fair share of cryptic hints at its significance (of which the rest of the crew (so far) is seemingly completely unaware).

At the very least, "Blue Sun" is just texture, but it had been very deliberately set up as such by Joss & Co. to be drawn upon in the future, whilst being completely under the radar in the 'present'. I hadn't picked up on its existance until listening to the commentaries, and likely I wasn't intended to until further than 15 episodes into the series...(Thank you, FOX).
