I've been meaning to buy a large number of Serenity DVDs to give to all my friends, but I can't find them anywhere for less than $17, which is too expensive for me to buy DVDs in bulk. Has anyone found a place to buy the DVD cheap? Any places with discounts for large orders (or orders over a certain $ amount), so that I can get a lot of DVDs for a fairly reasonable price?

I got mine at Walmart on the second day after it came out for $13.99. It was listed for $19.99, but rang up for the lesser price. The same thing happened a few months earlier when I purchased "Episode III: ROTS" at Walmart on the first day. It was listed for $19.99, but rang up for $14.99.

My sister told me that Walmart occasionally discounts new DVD's for a brief period after they're initially released (a week or so?).

Granted, if that's true, and the initial discount period is over, then they'd be at normal price.

Anyone else have this experience with new DVD releases at Walmart?

You could try deepdiscountdvd.com. Normally good prices and free shipping. Not sure about a volume discount though.

I don't disagree on any particular point.

The cheapest I could find were at overstock.com and buy.com,and half.com

buy.com is cheaper because shipping is free. I think half.com sells new and used. Not sure. Ill keep my eyes open for better deals.
