Does anyone know if there has been a model kit made of serenity? I am into building spaceship models. Kind of a hobby, also a bit therapeudic.
I just recently got turned onto Firefly after seeing the movie "Serenity". I had to go out and get the DVD's of the entire show.
BTW, what in the world were the network weenies thinking of when they cancelled this show????
Were they on drugs or what? I fing this show to be refreshingly different, funny, touching and exciting. The characters are extrememly well developed, and the show has a great balance of action, humor and pathos.

Please someone tell me that there may be more shows or movies made from this. It can't stop here!!!!! I will have withdrawals from this show.

I guess there is one of debated quality, but I don't know where it can be gotten from.

Many of us here had withdrawal when it was fist cancelled and we had to wait three years for a fix. However you might not have to wait that long, If the DVD sales are good there will be a sequel.

In other words, if you want more go out and get people to buy Serenity on DVD (have them buy Firefly too.) Convert people.

That sounds like a plan. I have already converted my immediate family, and am working or extended family and friends.
I think this show sells itself.
As for the model, I would welcome one of even questionable quality, as better models can be made if there is a market for one.
if anyone else out there knows of where to get one, I would appreciate it.
Thanks

I gave up on models years ago for the simple reason that I have the manual dexterity of a cow. However, were a Serenity model available, I'd go for it in a heartbeat.

As a favor, could people please put question marks in the titles of threads like this? That way it's clear that you're looking for something rather than crowing about having found it.

But yeah, I would definitely be interested.

I apologize for messing up the 'protocol'. I am new to chat rooms in general. I felt very compelled to join this as I am a new fanatic of this show.

Anyway, I am looking to find if there is a model kit of Serenity.

Thanks

There is one in the works in England which will be around 8 inches long. This maybe finished in a couple of months. Another one is starting that will be around 20.25 inches long but that may not be redy for 11 months.

Thanks so much.
I appreciate any word on any model of Serenity.

I know I should start another thread, but what does anybody think the real identity of Shepard Book is?

On the episode where River and Simon get kidnapped, and Book gets shot, he shows an Ident card that got him preferential treatment.
On the episode where Hurley the bounty hunter gets on board, and knocks out Shepard, he mentions. "That's not a shepard".
Makes one wonder, hmmmm?
