Sweet! Is that even legal in your jurisdiction. Because in mine I tink the barrel length is too short.

1st) Badass!
2cnd) Is the barrel length 18" 'cuz I believe that is the shortest a barrel can be cut down to in the U.S.

Cool

Is that a Winchester 1894?

I don't know if the law is different for shotguns vs rifles, but I think the minimum length for rifle barrels is 16". I have several SKS's that are 16" and perfectly legal.

But is anyone going to live long enough to file a complaint?

Great work so far, next you should buy a Saiga-12 Shotgun and build ‘Vera’!

please excuse the dumb question- what's the difference between a shotgun and a rifle, cos I thought zoe had a shotgun, don't know why I thought that though...

shotgun's spray pellets don't they, which is why sawn-off's are particularly bad, right?

I know nothing about guns but I'd be interested to know...

Legal limit in the US is

16" barrel rifle.
18" barrel shotgun.

Depending on the state, you may file the forms with BATF to manufacture either an SBR or SBS. Current wait seems to be around 9 months.

As you said a Shotgun sprays pellets (called ‘Shot’, larger shot is called ‘Buckshot’) to make it easier to hit a target but at a limited range. Shotguns can also fire Slugs, which are basically large caliber bullets, they can also fire flechettes (small darts) or quickly dissipating lead and wax rounds to take out door hinges/locks to breach doors (Counter Terrorism teams use this, its called the 'Master Key') many other types of rounds are available.

A rifle is a very accurate weapon that fires normal bullets larger than the bullets from a hand gun (at least modern ones do). It gets its name from the ‘rifling’ in the barrel that makes the bullets spin to increase accuracy and range. Zoë’s rifle is cut down making it easer to carry but at the expense of accuracy, this type of weapon is called a ‘Carbine’. Carbines are generally used by the military for Airborne units, the Marines and Tank crews who can’t carry a full sized rifle but need the firepower of one.

ILLUSORY

Isn't there something about total length as well. I think to skip past batf regs the total weapon length has to be 23 1/2 inches, though with the weapons ban that just sunset you can have folding stocks again
