Ok so the question was asked what we do, but Id like to know where are we from.
Im from Chicago but raised in a lovely little Island called Puerto Rico (so I consider myself Boricua) and now reside in the back woods of Georgia U.S.
JUST WONDERING bout the background of the Browncoats.
Very interesting anybody from the south Americas? or Asia? or Antartic?

Born and raised in Miami. Moved to Broward County now and it's a lot better than living in a rundown old home. Though people may think Miami is a party city(which it is in someplaces0, it's mostly a lot of old homes with lots of Spanish people. It was like Lost in Translation.

Jayne: She's in Congress?

Grew up in Wilmington, NC, went to UNC-Chapel Hill. Spent 13 years as a Army spouse (and 4 active myself at Ft. Ord, CA and 4 years in the Reserve) moving next to Ft.Sill (Lawton) Oklahoma to near Pittsburgh, PA (ex hubby on Recruiting duty there-daughter born there so technically she's a Yankee), to Ft. Hood, (Killeen) Tx, and finally Ft. Drum,(Watertown)NY.

Got divorced and moved to the "the Original Washington" to help take care of my Mom. It's a small town of about 10,000 in eastern NC on the Pamlico River. We are within 25 miles of Greenville, NC, a university town, and since the Knightdale bypass has opened, within 2 hours of the biggest mall in Raleigh.

Got the best of both worlds-small town, yet close to plenty of things to do.

I started out in Flint, MI (remember the movie "Roger And Me"?) and after 42 years of living in various cities in this state, I am back to living just on the outskirts of Flint again. I absolutely love the state of Michigan but not exactly the city that I am living in at the moment! If I had my choice, I would live on Mackinaw Island, MI. (Remember the movie "Somewhere In Time"? They filmed the majority of that movie there. Gorgeous!)

Born and raised in Massachusetts. Lived there till I was almost 40. Moved to New Hampshire for about 2 years then moved to Medford, Oregon for another 5 years. After losing my job there I found a new job in Indianapolis and moved here. Been here since. Massachusetts is a great place to go back to for a visit but I could never move back there. Too damn expensive to live there. Pay a small fortune for a run down rat infested hovel when you could rent a palace for the same price here in Indiana. I miss Oregon. Of all the places I've lived the southern part of that state is the most beautiful area I've ever seen or lived in. Would move back there in a heartbeat if there were any decent paying jobs.

I am going to assume you are questioning me?

Well, Alberta is actually on the OTHER side of Canada, not bordering the ocean, but bordering the province bordering the ocean. Maybe if I wasn't too lazy I could scan in the news paper articles about him.

Grew up in Wilmington too. Went back this summer after about 5 years. It's grown so much!

With the movie/TV studio there maybe we could somehow get the BDH's to come there to film a sequel. It's lots cheaper than LA and you still have the beach.

Well, I'm an Army brat, so I was born in Italy, then moved to Texas when I was 3, then to Missouri at 9.

Traveled to California in my 20's, back home to Missouri not too many years later ( I do miss the ocean though!) and here I am still all these years later. I now live on my folks old home place where we have our business and our horses.

I was born and raised in Houston,Texas. I lived there for 19 years, then married my high school sweetheart who is active duty Air Force. We got stationed in Denver (technically, he was posted in Aurora but we lived off base in Denver) and lived there 2 and a half years, then moved to Germany. He's stationed st Spangdahlem AB, and we live in Biburg. Sometimes I wish we were closer to a city that was bigger, but living out in the country is nice except when it smells like cow dung, and when the Bitburger brewery is running.

Born and Bred in Cambridge in England.
But I've lived in various parts of the world, including.......

. working on a summer camp in Ohio
. studying at college in New Hampshire
. working with kids with a charity in Cardiff, Wales
. teaching as a volunteer in Malawi, Central Africa

and I've done the usual thing of travellig thru Europe.........

I think travelling is the most amazing, eye-opening thing a person can do. It opens your world right up. Instead of being insular and having only your home town/country as your entire experience of life, you can experience how other people live........ and if you're open, it can make you appreciate and well as question things about your own culture and other cultures.....

I'm not sure I'm expresing it right, but believe me it's so cool!!! And I recon that why the crew on firefly want to be there. To travel and experience new places, things and people, and not just be stuck in their own culture/world .......

I was born in North Miami Beach, FL. I grew up there, and whoever posted before about the real Miami, is not incorrect. I was the only one of my friends with a totally english speaking family. Gave me a good sense of diversity.
At 13, we moved to West Palm Beach, about an hour or so north. Less Spanish, more snobbery. ICK!
I got married and moved to the cheap, but conservative Greenville, SC. I feel like a liberal, hippie freak compared to these people.
But they have a Unitarian Fellowship, so it's not all bad.
We plan to be out of here before our son is 5. Not sure where. New York is a hope, but alot of things need to happen first.
