Anyone interested in a 27x42 double-sided Serenity movie theater poster? See Ebay auction #7578586129.

I just got a double-sided poster like that. I bought it from Suncoast. It's very shiny.

It's my understanding that this is one like the ones sent to the theaters.

Yeah, I have it hanging above my couch...it pays to have a friend who works in a theatre...

Though methinks you might be asking a little much for the BiN price. You can get it for 40 on allposters.

Suncoast has the theater ones. I saw two at a Suncoast store recently.

There is also a link on the home page of
http://www.fireflyfans.net/ to buy the poster
and http://www.fireflyfans.net/ gets a small amount of money if you use that link. This is also the theater poster.

But I want a Serenity DVD poster!!!!

Which one?

Cause I really don't like the US DVD cover.

I picked one of these up in the theater just by asking nicely after the movie closed. Just to make sure you're aware, it's actually illegal to sell them unless you're licensed to - they're still the property of Universal or something. The studios tend to have people checking around eBay. I'm not trying to tell you to stop or anything like that, but I just wanted to you at least know - it'd suck to get in trouble for something that simple without even knowing it was against the law.

I want to be able to buy a US DVD cover poster and anyother Serenity DVD cover that is eventually available for sale in the United States. I'm thinking of ways to promote DVD sales and not really thinking about if I like the cover or not.

I will say this about the US DVD cover...at least it doesn't look like some torrid romance DVD (Like a movie about some girl named Serenity and her boyfriend and what is she holding in her hand...some sort of glowing toy)

I hope the US gets the Aussie Tin eventually. I do like the yin-yang thing they did with the letters. The Y could be a space ship launching and the R could be a sword.

Yeah, i want the other covers and stuff and will buy them when they come out here.

As for the illegality thing. It's only illegal if you're an employee of a theatre or video store or somewhere that solicits movie sales. If you bought it or if it was a gift, you have the right to sell it if you like.

Let me get this straight. I buy a poster and then I'm not allowed to sell it to someone else later?

No, you're allowed to sell it, thats what I was trying to say.

The only exception and the time you can get in trouble is whe you work at a venue where you have unlimited access to movie memorabilia for free.
