Can anybody tell me what the hell "Serenity: Out in the Black" is? I just got an email from amazon.com, recommending it and telling me it will be available in paperback on Jan 16, 2006. Since I already have the novelization, I know it's not that. When I click on the link, I get nothin'--no author name, no description of contents.

What the hell is the thing?

"Well, my days of not taking you seriously are certainly coming to a middle. . . ."

MALICIOUS

That is SO weird! I JUST posted this very same question in the "we want more" thread!

Mal-licious

I'm going to add cursing and the hurling about of things to my repertoire.

Ah, thanks. I don't do RPG, so I had no clue what it was. Mystery solved!

When you're talking about the novelization, you're talking about the one for the movie, right?

I don't do RPG (Role Playing Game) either, but I bought Serenity Role Playing Game book for my brother for Christmas and started reading it. I was surprised. It has color pictures from the movie and I love the conversations with Malcom Reynolds. Just on that alone, I bought my own copy. It is expensive. Hardback 223 pages about 8 1/2 by 11 inches. Lots of reading. I ordered the Serenity: Out in Black--just for some extra reading material.

Some chapters that look good for non-rpgers

Crew of Serenity: ...details of these Big Damn Heroes.

Money & Gear: Learn about the economy of the 'Verse and find details about personal equipment.

Boats & Mules: Vehicles and spaceships help a crew to keep flyin'.

Brief Guide to the 'Verse: Read up on the history of the 'Verse and learn more about its planets and moons.

Gorram Chinese: Learn the slang of the 26th century and how to say clever phrases in Mandarin.

Money talks....buy everything.
I ordered the role play book because I read it was really nice. I don't do games, but at least it's a sale in the 'verse. :)

Sex and violence on the big screen, where it belongs.
