Hi gang, miss me?

It looks like Universal listened!

The cover's been toned down from the old bright and gaudy one seen on the main page:

THE DVD (AU$29.83):

THE TIN (AU$32.83):

[URL= http://www.ezydvd.com.au/item.zml/784707]

THE PSP (AU$39.95):

So far the trio has a To Be Confirmed stamp, so the announced release of February 8th 2006 seems to stand for now.

Hope this news made someone's day!

Whoo-hoo! Love the tag line "They Aim to Misbehave."

Free collectors tin. Gonna have to get one.

Interesting how the Y and R have a sharp sword like point. Or is the R the sword and the Y a ship taking off? Maybe a sort of yin-yang thing going on?

You are so lucky Australia...except for the wait until Feb. 2006

Chances of us in the UK getting a shiny tin?

Almost zero, knowing our luck :(

Apparently it's exclusive to Ezydvd.com.au...

But they DO ship OVERSEAS. All you need is a R4 compatible player.

Or even if you neglect the R4 disc, you can use the tin for your Region's DVD. XD

Yeah I was thinking about doing this, was thinking about getting the Regio 4 release anyway for the extra features. Do y'all think the tin will hold the full DVD box or will it just come with the two discs in little plastic wallets? I'd hope the first but perhaps Exdyd.com.au have done this sort of exclusive before and someone could shed some light?

The only other exclusive contract I've seen in the past was permission to make an exclusive new box and LITERALLY sell the Terminator Trilogy Boxed in a Skynet Edition!

(T1, T2 and T3 were all seperately made, The Terminator by Orion(now owned by MGM) T2:J.D by Carolco, and T3:R.O.T.M by C2 Pictures.)

The Terminator Trilogy : Skynet Edition

AU$49.83

I ordered the tin-box version. I hope my DVD2AVI, or a similar application, can parse the Region 4 disc -- I want to see that Australia-only content!

But even if not, the tin box alone is worth the cost. Sweee-eeet!

You do realise Zone Selector and/or DVD Genie lets you watch any region on any PC's DVD-ROM...right?

The catch with program 3? 30 day trial, then US$39.95.

AnyDVD is another product for regionless viewing. It removes region codes, trailers and other stuff as soon as you load the DVD.

http://www.slysoft.com/en/anydvd.html

I getting the Aussie and UK versions for the goodies too, though I expect a gold/platinum version released in the US later with all the features left out.

A great FREE program that I use is by Elaborate Bytes called DVD Region Killer. It works great:

Thought I'd post an update in case anyone was interested. I e-mail EzDVD.com.au and they confirmed that the tin box will contain the original retail DVD box, so I'm definately getting one of these babies. Plus I checked and they won't charge your card until the order is processed and shipped, so I can cancel if Universal decide to give the UK the full version too.

I ordered that yesterday! And I'm gonna get myself a region 2 (gotta wait for one with norwegian subtitles so that I can show some stubborn people the film as well :P) one as soon as that comes out as well :P
