... literally. I had procured both the 8 1/2 x 11 " 'Serenity' logo w/ a mini version of the theatrical poster, and had them lying around. I didn't know what to do w/ them, so I decided to buy a cheap , basic black frame for the cardboard poster, and then dry mount on foam board the movie poster. Not sure what color mat to use as a background though. I first thought a greyish/blue would work, as it kinda matched most of the color in the poster. Then I had the idea of maybe using an amber like color, to hightlight the 'firefly' effect from Serenity.

If anyone's already matted and framed their posters, I'd like to hear what ya did and how they came out.

fraid I didnt give it a LOT of thought
bought a frame that would fit my theatre poster and put it in and hung it on the wall

the mini poster got trimmed to fit the inside of my comuter armoire

what I need input on is HOW to frame--preserve some autographed comics I was lucky to get for my birthday

Also, I can kill you with my brain.

I'm pondering framing options myself right now. I have my full-size Spiderman 2 posters in simple black frames from Michaels (usually 25 bucks, but if you watch the ads they go on sale for 10 sometimes).

For the Serenity mylar (same colors as the US posters) I got from eBay, I ordered a custom-sized black frame from www.americanframe.com with no mat. I didn't want it any bigger than it was, and I felt like a mat might clash or detract from it.

I currently have one of the Nathan autographed lithos that his brother was selling on eBay, and a Jewel autographed comic and I'm not sure what to do with either.

For the Nathan litho, I'm kind of considering a black frame with a brownish burgandy mat to match the shirt he's wearing. I'm also considering framing sort of a Serenity collage with the litho, an Independant patch, one of the official patches, maybe one of the postcards???? I really don't know at this point.

I would love any experienced tips on the comic. I suppose just a regular frame with some clearance (like from americanframe) would work. But surely there is some sort of standard for comic book display?
