I frequent www.boxofficemojo.com quite a bit. It's neat (and sometimes depressing) to see what movies are doing well and which aren't. For the past, oh, nine months, Serenity has remained in the top five most popular movies, typically at number one. The rating is calucated by how many people visit the Serenity page each day. I was plesantly surprised to see Serenity is still in the top five, even after it has left the theatres. So, it left me to wonder, are you still going to BoxOfficeMojo and keeping Serenity in the top five most popular movies list?

Also, for about three months, Serenity was listed as number one as the highest ranking movie of all time. This is based off of grades given to people who rate the movies on a scale of 'A' to 'F-'. We were ahead of movies like Star Wars, Lord of the Rings, and Saving Private Ryan. Since then, Serenity has slipped to fourth, which is still amazing when you read some of the movies on the list.

Not been back since your post. But I've been thinking about some of the garbage that's coming out ... Cheaper by the Dozen 2 ?? WTF? Why his idiotic remake was done in the 1st place, no one knows. But add to the fact there's that lame remake of a remake w/ Denis Quaid to there actually making a SEQUEL to Cheaper by the Dozen makes me want to break stuff. Stuff not mine.

And wtf is Just Friends ?? Poster makes it look like another 'Shallow Hal ' effort.

" They don't like it when you shoot at 'em. I worked that out myself. "

This is the curse of loving/wanting quality movies/TV shows. Most people want homogenized crap. Had a conversation with a co-worker about how she enjoys watching "Yes, Dear." Sigh. And for this art form, what's popular is what gets made.

I usually visit it once a week to see if there's updated financial figures for the movie. BTW...

Domestic: $25,374,750
+ Overseas: $11,979,109
= Worldwide: $37,353,859

Just went... "Serenity" is #2 right behind "Harry Potter".

Wow, you'd think that would get some notice with the folks at Universal.

SERENITY HAS NOT LEFT THE THEATERS IN THE UNITED STATES.

The United States is still holding. Browncoats are still going to see the movie. I am going tomorrow! It came back to my area.

These states all have showings of Serenity in Serenity's 10th week. It has been showing in the US that whole time every day!! There is a showing scheduled for Dec. 16 & 17 & 18.

AR AZ CA CO CT FL GA IA ID IN KY MI MN MT NM NV NY PA TX UT WA

Still some first-run theaters. 5 Fanandgo theater ticket buying opportunities!

And that doesn't count the 6 open-captioned Serenitys that pop up in theaters Sunday-Monday and Tuesday-Wednesday.

US map of where Serenity is showing!

Keep an eye on your theaters! Don't miss out on seeing Serenity one last time on the darn big screen!

Yes I go to Mojo everyday to see how its doing and to keep it in the top five list. It took over a week to get the current overseas count,..is that normal? Its still at three theaters here in Denver and one of them added a 9:30 show that wasn't on last week
I hope "the powers that be" notice this.
