I'll be at the 7pm showing with about 20 of my friends. This is the nicest theater in the area, and it had pulled Serenity a couple weeks ago. Now, for some reason, they've decided to bring it back for a showing tomorrow. I'm hoping that, if they have a good turnout, they'll keep it going, even if it is only on Sundays. Eastern PA, NJ, NY, DE, MD Browncoats, come up if you can. Lets try to sell this one out and keep our BDM movie playing. Thanks. :-)

Just double-checked the official Carmike website... and the news is even better!

First off, it is verified, we are on for tomorrow (Sunday 11/13) at 7pm, see you there!

Secondly, it is considered a "Special Showing", and will also be shown on Monday!

For all of those out there claiming our BDM was a flop... they certainly wouldn't be bringing it back for encore, "special" showings at major theaters if that was the case. Looks like the people in decision making positions have noticed something about this movie, and its followers, that they see is special (its about time) ;-)

Check with your theaters...maybe you could
have a special showing too!!!

Yeah! Go Allentown.

My hometown was Reading,PA which just stinks moviewise so have made many trips to Allentown for various events. I'm now in Greensboro, NC (I think you replied to one of my postings earlier about it) but now have to go to Raleigh for it.

I wish I could get there - but darn, my private jet is in the hangar getting fixed. I hope you have a great time.

Yeah! Go special showings!

I hope bnl107 and friends have a great time.

I hope they buy lots of popcorn, and candy
and soda. That is how the theaters make
there money.

I hope they are not bothered by the empty
seat that would be me if I had a private jet.
If I had money for a private jet...I'd
be at an IMAX showing.

Instead I'll just Fandango an empty seat.
Hope I don't take someone's seat. I'll
be checking that there are 10 available
before I buy. And maybe the theater
will let people use the no-show seats
or maybe they will have to buy a ticket
for another movie and sneak in.

Actually, you can't Fandango it, sadly. The Serenity showing was a last minute decision by them, and there's no way to buy a ticket online. But they will hold tickets for you if you call and tell 'em you're driving a long ways to see it, as I am.

Yeah, I tried it already...even checked the
theater page to see if I could buy from there.

That's okay. I was worried I might take a
seat away from someone.

I bought my four empty seats at different
times and different theaters elsewhere.

Buy some Popcorn for me!

OK, I was there. What wasn't mentioned was that it was CC for the hearing impaired. ;) But that's okay, that was an interesting way to see it. The few words I never could make out in the many times I've seen it, I finally know what they are now!

Closed captioned! Wow, that would have been extra shiny! I still can't make out half the things our Cap'n Mal said. Unfortunately, the theater I've seen it in has pretty awful sound, and Captain Mal doesn't always enunciate clearly, what with his drawl n'all. Hats off to all you Browncoats who have seen the BDM many, many times -- some of us big damn parents have a harder time getting out to see it--but maybe I'll Fandango a few tickets anyway to show my support.

The 11/13 showing was too late - I was just finishing my fiancee's browncoat indoctrination (she insisted on watching the entire dvd set over the holiday wknd; couldn't stop once she started). The Monday showing of the BDM is awesome news! Chances are shiny that I'll be able to talk her into the 70 mile drive from Cherry Hill NJ tonight after work. The only time I've seen it was a pre-release sneak preview. Wish me luck!
