Check your theaters in the United States!

Maybe last week to see Serenity on Big Darn
Screen!

playing on the Big Darn Screen:

Weekend Gross Time!

Can't get to a theater, buy an on-line
ticket and don't go. Still some
First-run on-line theaters. Already
bought my four for the day.

Going shopping now to preorder the DVD.

Maybe not-saw the BDM for the second time in Raleigh NC at a second run house. I didn't count heads but it seem like there were about 45 people in the theatre for a 4:20 show on Veteran's Day and was on for 4 shows a day. The theatre is near NC State University but it seemed like the crowd was a little older than college age.

The reaction seemed very favorable-laughter in all the right places-and OH NO! in all the right places.
It's scheduled there for at least the rest of the week.

If other films showing are any prediction it will be there a while-March of the Penguins, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory (out on video this week) and the 40 Year Old Virgin (and 10 other films) were still there.

Yeah!

The problem is that theater owners have to
guess if people are going to attend for the
next week. They keep guessing wrong. I
think they must guess based on Wednesday
or Thursday tickets sold and not on the
last weekend. Theater owners think
everyone who wanted to see the movie has
already.

They do not realize that new people still
want to see the movie and that people who
loved Serenity will keep coming back.

I am worried we will have the same trouble
with store owners and video store owners.

You cannot pre-order Serenity at Best Buy,
Circuit City or Target. How are they
deciding how many copies to buy?

I was able to order Serenity at Borders
and f.y.e. at the mall. I was able to
order Serenity VHS at walmart.com as a
Christmas gift for a non-DVD relative.

BRUISERSMOM

It's playing at the $1.50 movie theater where I live but I can't go and see it in that theater. It's too depressing. I'm waiting for the DVD.
