Long promised, long forgotten, long time lazy. But here it is at last, my second ever music video.

As you can see by the title-y thing, it's about Mal and Inara, from Mal's side of things. The song is "The Reason" by Hoobastank, and it exists because it is the second of two suggestions that SerenityPunk, aka Carol, made to me back in the day.

Ooooh, this was one of the better Mal/Inara vids I've seen. They're usually very cheesy, or are way forced. This was nice.

I usually don't like these two as a couple (really, what's the point in exploring canon?), but this was very well done.

The song fits Mal/Inara so well. And the vid clips chosen were perfect.

You know, at the start, when the song was talking about causing pain, I was thinking... "should've used that bit of Inara crying", but then you trumped me and put in the line about tears and I was all "ohhhh, no... *that's* where I would have put it".

I liked it a lot!!!

RELFEXIVE

You flatter me, madam

I have a River vid in mind, with a super appropriate song, or so I think at any rate.

I also have my Big Video Idea, of course, which I wish I had the time to get done before the con next week... but I don't have the time, really. It's the clip acquisition that takes a long while. It might be because of the way I do it - I just grab every moment I think could be useful and work out how and where to use them later.

Except for the ending, that is. I knew that clip was how I was going to end this video before I even started working on it.

And you know, every part of this vid moved me even as I was making it, even after seeing each bit dozens of times. Every little smile, the crying bit, all of it.

I'm glad y'all like it
