I took my time with the Firefly DVD by trying to limit myself to one new episode per week. I did a great job of it until today. I was bored and watched the entire 4th disc plus the extras. Now I'm extremely depressed because I saw the movie and all episodes. There's no show on TV and I'm a huge fan. I need some help. What do I do now?! :(

look at my signiture and check out the goodies:
you need to watch the River Tam video sessions done at the Academy

and you need to get the comic books....

and spend more time looking online here...
for instance if you to to the 'episode' section you'll find a finished script that was never filmed

talking about scripts, have you read the 'Visual Companion'? Joss wrote more than he filmed,
plus it is full of interviews, story boards, production memos, and the art work of the costume & set designers.....

come one now, don't wallow...enjoy!
and then rewatch all the 'Firefly' episodes
(did you listen to the commentaries?)

Wait for the next piece of good news. It gets easier

In the mean time, you can hang on this board. Plus, ya could stop by the Cali convention, or its successors.

Wow! I was hoping for the best but expecting the worse. You guys rock. Thanks for all the leads. I filled with peace and serenity.

*happily heads off to check out those items*

One more thing, if I manage to find Serenity still being played in a theater should I rewatch the movie now that I've seen all the episodes?

In my experience, the movie holds up well to multiple viewings. I saw it last night for the tenth time (and probably last on the big screen). Still shiny...

REAVERVICTIM

I'm in the same boat, my friend. I was turned onto this wonder when a friend of mine took me to a pre-screening in SF in May. I've been carefully spacing out the episodes (as tough as it's been, and I've slipped and watched more than I was supposed to), but the fear is there of there being nothing more to enjoy.

But along with some of the other literature and media suggested, you could check out the movie novelization. I've heard very mixed reviews, but for six or seven bucks, I'd say it's worth a try. I would just be careful to take everything with a grain of salt; that is to say that DeCandido takes liberties that aren't necessarily implied by/approved by the Joss man. But it was helpful to me to be able to read a chapter at a time, in place of popping the series into the DVD player. I dunno. Just a thought.

And depending upon your interests, it might be entertaining and anxiety-alleviating to write your own fan fiction or create your own fan art or t-shirts or the like. Even if you're not all that artistically or literarily inclined, it might be something to provide you with happiness.

And you could always throw a party. You could have a DVD Release Party (that's what I'm doing! Gonna round up some old high school pals and have us a real Shindig) or a Themed Birthday Party or you can come up with your own excuse to spread the Firefly love around.

Good luck!

ReaverVictim

And by the way, I'd agree that trying to catch Serenity in the theaters again is an excellent idea, as long as you make it there by Nov. 10, which marks the end of six weeks -- the standard theatrical release period. But if you're worried that seeing it too many times in a row will diminish the experience in subsequent viewings (ie, when you go to watch it when it comes out on DVD, you're already so familiar with the story that the element of surprise is completely gone), you might want to hold off. Choices, choices...
