I know this belongs in the "Angel" room, but after posting it there a few hours ago, I hadn't gotten any responses and figured this room had much more people viewing it.

I recently bought Season 2 of Angel and noticed something: it is in widescreen...which I prefer entirely.

However, my Season 1 set was in full screen and both sets (Seasons 1 AND 2) list on the back that they are in full frame.

Can anyone help? Did I pick up the wrong copy of S. 1 or did they just change the format for S. 2-5?

S1 was shot, aired, and put on DVD in full-screen.

S2 was shot in widescreen, yet framed-for and broadcast in full-screen. It was originally released on DVD in widescreen, though I believe it may have since also been released in a full-screen version.

Seasons 3-5 were shot in, framed for, and broadcast in widescreen, and that's the format the DVDs are in.
