While checking on area showtimes at IMDB, I stumbled across this, and had a Kaylee Moment "Look at the pretties!":

Here's IMDB's most excellent theater finder, in case you're having difficulty finding showings:
http://imdb.com/showtimes/

Alas, it only lists USA showtimes. Perhaps our noble comrades from the rest of Earth-that-is, could share some useful locators? I reckon Serenity should start showing up in the cheaper 2nd-run theaters soon, so am thinking of posting a list of locator sites on the Firefly fan area of my website.

Thank you, thankyou, Thank-a-You! I was wondering where I could go to find this out, as Serenity is no longer playing in my area - not for a 50-mile radius! Now I know I only need to go 100 miles...

Cool.

I clicked on the little arrow and it showed the theater I am going to this weekend.

It is an hour away, but it does not seem far to me...because I drive 75 minutes a day to get to work.

Does anyone know if this website will also show the second-run or cheaper theaters too?

This will help me in the future...unless the movie disappears from the big screen all at once. When I can no longer drive to a showing, I plan on buying on-line tickets at a theater it is still showing at. I thought I would have to just start typing in city names at Fandango's website. But this is much easier.

Thank you!!!

The IMDB did not list the Rave theater that is still showing Serenity through Thursday, Nov. 3rd.

I was in a brief panic because I had planned to meet friends for a final viewing wednesday. But the Rave Motion Pictures website still show it being in their line-up.

"Sometimes I thank God I was born ugly. I mean, look at all these beautiful people. Someday, they'll be old and ugly and be all depressed. Hell, I'm already use to it."

Anonymous1, I did some experimenting and was able to check a few 2nd-run/cheap theaters thru IMDB's interface. This bodes well. I've been too busy this week to start my email campaign to my local 2nd-run house... maybe next week.

As Nightcrawler51 points out, don't despair if you don't find a listing there. Double & triple check, and start politely sending the nine minute clip link to the 2nd-runs.

The hi-res one has expired, but the iFilm one appears to be still there:
