My first thread posting...I feel so grown up...

Well, I'm in the middle of reading this great book and would love to hear of other people's opinions on it.

I particularly love 'The Rise and Fall (and Rise) of Firefly (the Behind the Scenes Story) by Glenn Yeffeth.

I laughed so much a little bit of pee escaped!

The man obviously has no intention of working for Fox again!!!

Thoughts from anyone else?

If you don't have the book - I really would recommend it. For anyone who doesn't know about it - it is a book of a series of essays written by various people who worked on the show, authors and fans on different aspects of the show - powerful female characters, origins of the Reavers (written before the film came out) etc. Some funny, some serious, all interesting.

I mention some other fun stuff in my signiture,
if you haven't checked it out already then I encourage you to do so!

EVILBUNNIES

I've actually started reading this for the first time, even though it was sitting on my shelf for months before.

I really enjoyed the 'Rise and Fall (and Rise) of Firefly' section. That made me laugh a lot. But the one that really made me laugh more was the 'Firefly vs The Tick' one. I have never seen the latter before but I was rolling over some of the lines.

I'm currently at the 'Zoe: Updating the Warrior Woman' essay. Its really good, and I'm looking forward to the rest of the book.

Mal: Define interesting.
Wash: Oh god, oh god, we're all gonna die?

Jewel Staite's article is priceless. It's clear how much she loved making Firefly.

Also, there are some very amusing Chinese translations (if you haven't already seen them elsewhere).

Ain't about you, Jayne. It's about what they need.
