It's also 6 or 7 on amazon.co.uk (and only £20.97, to boot!). I love that new people are discovering the series through watching the BDM.

Yes but I wish UK buyers would be more intelligent and buy the REGION 1 60HZ edition of FIREFLY instead of the incorrect REGION 2 50hz version. AMAZON.CO.UK even sells via third party dealers the US issue. It could not be easier.

I live in Manchester and would not dream of buying a US produced TV show on Region 2.
I play FIREFLY REGION 1 back in component 24frame progressive scan onto my projector screen and its glorious. And all in the correct speed not 4% speeded up like in silly PAL.

dvd legacy and bestpriceCD are the best choices in the third party dealer list.

As it happens, I have both - R1 because I *had* to have the boxset as soon as it was released, R2 because the vast majority of my friends/potential converts don't have multi-region DVD players.

Personally, I haven't noticed any particular difference between the picture quality of the two sets - but then, I've never seen them side-by-side. Plus, being but a poor PhD student, I can only afford a wee little TV and a bottom-of-the-range DVD player.

And yet, even if I'm not doing the visuals justice... it's still the best TV series I've seen in years

It was #1 on amazon.com for tv, and #4 in dvd.
Now's it's #1 in tv, and #6 in dvd

It ia question of running speed.
Speaking voices, music and movement is all
speeded up by 4% on PAL 50hz R2.
In NTSC 60hz R1 it is native speed.

For DVD players that can play anything into
any TV in the world
