FF Status: Never saw an episode
Notes: Not burdened with an over-abundance of schooling

She saw the BDM last night and said " There was so much talking about nothing that I understood, and the movie seemed like it was dragging along in slow motion, until the last 30 minutes when it turned into Star Wars, that part was okay, but the main guy was doing Han Solo too much. My boyfriend liked it better than I did."

The target know-nothing audience, it seems.
Y'all see what I have to deal with at work? It's frustrating, you know?

Boyfriend unavailable for comment (probably embarrassed).

Today she ammended her review to say " It was good, just the beginning was slow. I never saw the show, so whatever they were talking about didn't matter to me. It would have been better if they had less dialogue and started the shooting sooner. But I did like when it turned into Star Wars!"

I can't seem to roll my eyes sufficiently.

So she didn't like it for all the right reasons, but she did like it, so there's hope for her yet.

I think when her boyfriend buys the dvd, she'll begin to see it's genius...(She'll also be a little older...well, a little...)

What happened to your loaner copy of the DVD?

You know what happens when Unfamiliars see that!

I was chatting with a friend about it. He had no idea what firefly was, but he had this to say.

"Oh isnt that that series that sucked too much to stay on the air?"

They say hes going to recover, I think. If he does pull through, He will have learned a valuable lesson. Which is that Firefly is the best scifi series ever. Next to farscape.

And with these words of wisdom, she probably left to hook up with friends at the mall.

I remember, back in '99, asking my mailman if he'd seen "The Matrix"...

"Yeah, but it had too much talking."

Blasphemy.

Some people have been mercifully spared the ravages of intelligence.

XG

No such thing as gravity. The "Earth-that-was" just sucks.
