.
Hey there! I ran across this quote from River in the Serenity RPG book, and I have a vague memory of seeing her say it (although that might be my overactive imagination )

Does anyone else remember it? It's definitely not in the movie as released on 9/30 - I've seen it five times since then, and I know I would have recognized it. I'm thinking maybe it was in the preview version, which I saw last June? Or maybe in one of the really early trailers?

Or maybe it's from one of the episodes? I don't have a copy of the movie script, or I'd check that ...

Any ideas?

You need to give us some clue as to what the quote is.

"You can keep a dog; but it is the cat who keeps people, because cats find humans useful domestic animals."--George Mikes

What's the quote? :)

Sex and violence on the big screen, where it belongs.

Ah, there it is.
I believe it is an outtake from the movie. I have also seen it, and she has those goggles on. Why it was taken out is a mystery to me, but then I am always dismayed by deleted scenes not being in a movie.

Thanks! (I have no idea why the subject line disappeared for a moment there .... I put it back in.)

I remembered her wearing the goggles when she said that line too, so I'm glad it's not just me. It must have been cut from the final film, but I can't remember if I saw it in the preview version, or just in a trailer.

It had to be a trailer or something online because, sadly, I did not even get near any pre-screenings.

It's in the shooting script.

*Spoilers*

She says it when she's talking to Simon in the cargo bay while sitting in the mule just before they head out for the heist. She's basically reassuring Simon that she'll be okay.

Obviously the line was shot, but cut out of the final edit.

It's in the script and thus in the VC and the novelisation... unlike

which isn't, as it was added later. And is an absolutely perfect moment between the two characters involved.
