I know there have already been posts on this subject.....yes you can see the first 9 minutes of Serenity, but i'm not sure if this was posted or not, and im way to tired to go look through that tread to see. So if it was, dearly sorry, if not, your welcome....

For some reason when i clicked on the link given to watch the first 9 minutes of the movie, i was one of the few it didn't work for.....so i went looking and came across this! The link for the downloadable version of those first 9 minutes. WEEEE, anyway once again if you all knew this, sorry.

P.S. i continued reading on the site it came from and it seems people were having trouble playing it or something....they suggest mplayer....i personally would use something like VLC media player...never found anyhting it wouldn't play. :) also is something of 50 MB to download so those of you (and me) using Dial up....good luck lol :)

.viv is a the proprietary vividas format. As they intend it only to be a streamed, closed format, you can't really do anything with it. Why Universal wasted time and money on Vividas when Xvid is free, Quicktime is widespread, and mpeg is usable by anyone is beyond me.

Aw, come on. Copyright issues, obviously. They don't want you to download it.

Yeah, I thought that was pretty obvious.

And they went with a format, that at least in theory(though I've heard statements otherwise) works on all/ platforms.

I really can't fault them.
