First things first. NO SPOILERS IN THIS THREAD! I haven't read any spoilers and I'm almost there. The question I pose to you all is this. Is it amazingly sad that I am more excited the day before Serenity than I was the day before my sixteenth birthday?

I'll eat your flesh.
I'll sew your skin into my clothes.

Not at all. Your feelings are your feelings and they are all valid. Your birthday and seeing 'Serenity' are joyous occasions. Congratulations on both!

I saw one of the sneak showings last spring. In mid-September I moved to South Carolina from Indiana. And more than a little of me was wanting to not even LOOK for a new job until after the premiere weekend, to make sure I could go to the party in Raleigh. So I understand your point, TheReaver!

MAL "You only gotta scare him."
JAYNE "Pain is scary..."

Thanks, I thought I was going nuts. I was ill for my birthday and i just lay in bed playing video games. I just hope I'll be okay for tomorrow.

Hey, you're sixteen! It's perfectly normal to be excited about something you've waited for so long.

Why, I myself had a restless night the day before Serenity opened. I actually had dreams with the Firefly characters in them! <--- (This is true!)

So you see, it's perfectly normal for a young person to get that nervous, Xmas eve feeling.

Now, could somebody please assure me it's okay when that happens to a 52-year-old man?

I was WAY more excited about the first Lord of the Rings movie than I was about my own wedding (which happened at about the same time), so no worries... :)
