For a variety of reasons I felt compelled to compile a list of positive reviews for Firefly (that are available online). When I posted this list on the official board awhile ago someone added about 2-3 more. Today I updated the list further adding more reviews. Most of these are for the first episode but more than a couple are from later ones. Feel free to add any that you see. THe list so far:

"It looks like a great adventure...That's what it is; that's what it feels like. When I saw the pilot, it was really engaging. It was exciting. It was unusual. It threw me off every now and then. I think people will be grabbed by it." - Ron Glass, on the pilot, during an interview with the Indianapolis Star

BTW, here is a new, brief positive bit about Firefly:

She only mentions it briefly, but says:

As it is one of my top picks for the year in new network entertainment, I hope UPN does take this well-written space drama and gives it a new port.

I hope UPN is pricking it's ears up :)

AICN's Hercules lists Firefly as # 4 on his list of the top twenty best shows of 2002.

Certainly, the more people watch “Firefly,” with its large cast of complex and beguiling regulars, the more they seem to like it.

May have been the losing side. Still not convinced it was the wrong one.

"Firefly" seems to have flown away from Fox, but its fans are trying to interest UPN in picking up the Joss Whedon ("Buffy the Vampire Slayer," "Angel") created series. A fan site, www.fireflysupport.com, lists the addresses of some UPN officials to contact.

As it is one of my top picks for the year in new network entertainment, I hope UPN does take this well-written space drama and gives it a new port.

Very nice of the writer to mention the support site. Hopefully it will draw more people to support Firefly moving to UPN or whoever will take the show.

I must admit though, after reading this piece, and the other obviously favorable reviews, why is it that Firefly got cancelled again? The ratings were not primetime, mainstream, but they were good. Reviews were good. So why did Fox can it? And why by all that is holy did they replace it w/ "Fastlane"? Wow, how imaginative, another cop drama. It's like Miami Vice meets Fast and the Furious, only w/ lame writing.
