I know there's a term for when all the issues of a comic are collected in one larger issue, but I can't think of it at the moment.

Found this when poking around Amazon and hadn't seen it posted here yet. I know there have been questions about it but I couldn't find any threads mentioning it.

Interesting cover.

February 2006 is only 5 months away.

STILLSHINY

From what I have heard this will be the comic or graphic adaptation of the movie, not a compilation of the three comics released this summer.

FYI, it's usually called a Trade Paperback compilation, or TPB for short.

Thanks, I hadn't heard about that yet. Sounds shiny .

That's what I originally thought it was called, but wasn't sure because I thought there was another term for it. I must be thinking of something else. Or need to lay off the Tylenol Cold .

Thanks though!

This link at Dark Horse makes me think it's a collection of the comics over the summer and not a new trade based on the movie:

Unless Amazon is mentioning something completely different, but the cover and artist/writers do match.

The ISBN is the same for both the Dark Horse and Amazon listings, although the release dates are different.

I guess we wait and see.

Dark Horse screws around with release dates all the time. this is just the compilation of the 3 issues that have already been released. I wonder if it'll have any extras...

I've noticed that Amazon usually dates things a little after comic stores receive them. Also, I also believe this is the compilation: The page count is a little more than all 3 issues, but compilations typically have extra pages of things like all 9 covers, or interviews with creative teams, preliminary sketches, etc. Usually when someone comes out with a comic adaption of a movie, it's timed to be released along with the movie - if it's months later, then people who might have been interested will probably have forgotten all about it.
