ARAGEDIE

OK guys, I live in Oklahoma and have been waiting for Serenity to be released for a year! I called around to every theater in a 60 miles radius, which there are a lot! NONE of them are playing Serenity this weekend, next weekend. Not until 3rd week in October. WHAT IS GOING ON?? Even in Dallas, Texas they only have 2 theaters showing this. I am confused, thought this was a national release, why no screens here? HELP!

Actually, Penn Square in OKC is showing it as a sneek peek on Tuesday 9/27. Don't know how far you are from this theatre, but just FYI.

I find it kind of odd that there wouldn't be a showing of it in OK. I hope that you are wrong, because I have a date on Friday with the purpose of seeing this movie.

The screening tomorrow night is Invitation only or you can try and win tix off 98.9 KYIS, which I have been trying for all darn day! Other than that, Nothing else! I called Harkin in bricktown and they said they may get it the 3rd week in October! What is up with that!

Not to worry folks! Serenity will premiere in Oklahoma. I called Harkin's in Bricktown, AMC @ Quailsprings and got on websites for Regal Cinema Crossroads and Tinseltown and all said the movie would show Friday, Sept. 30th. None of them have movie times listed as of yet but the gal at Harkin's in Bricktown said probably by Wed or Thurs. And yes, Penn Square is having a special showing Tuesday evening.

I am actually part of a group that has been planning promotions for the movie for quite some time now. We are having a comic shop promotional day Wed the 28th at area local stores where you can sign up to win Serenity related prizes along with a donation drive for Central Oklahoma Habitat for Humanity for hurricane victims who are relocating to Oklahoma. I will personally be at DragonFyre comics from noon until 7pm on Wed. The Oklahoma Browncoats known as the Red River Rebels will also have a table set up at Harkin's Theater opening day and we will hold the drawing for prizes then. You need not be present to win, so come on by our comic stores Wed and sign up and make a donation in the name of the Browncoats to help our future Oklahomans!

Thank you all! I will keep watching for it. When I called Harkin, an older woman answered so she may not have known how to use the computer or even what Serenity was! LOL I'll keep my fingers crossed, otherwise I am trucking it to DALLAS!
