Walking along the riverside (a canal runs through the middle of my BIG (for england anyhow) shopping centre, I look towards my local, huge cinema - Vue to see 2 ENOURMOUS Serenity posters 20 feet in the air, and about 15 feet x 10 feet. In between them another Coming Soon film was being advertised (only one poster!) and apart from that there were no other posters of that size at all!

After posting negatively about Vue a few weeks ago, as I thought they wouldn't show it, my faith in them has been completely restored with this amazing plug for a movie no-one's heard of. Someone at Reading Vue is a browncoat. Made my entire month, along with the fact that thousands of people walk through the riverside everyday as it's one of the busiest places in Reading.

Amaaaaazing....

Looks like I'll be using Vue cinema in Cardiff.

Actually, with the number of online and in print pre-release reviews, the browncoat efforts and the major network (at least in the US anyway) commercials coming so often that we don't bother emailing each other when we see one, it's getting harder to call our BDM one that "no one's ever heard of."

Universal's kind of opened the floodgates with the tv spots lately, too.

There's a post out there somewhere from someone who found two theatres sold out for opening night and thought themselves lucky to find tickets at a third.

I'm getting a good feeling about this. I don't want to jinx it, but could it be that all our efforts are finally paying off?
