Okay, I've gotten it into my head to make up some Firefly/Serenity Trivial Pursuit cards. The idea here would be that there would be the same number of categories, with the same colors etc. so that people can use whatever set they want for the pieces and then use the question cards like they would for any other set.

Here are the categories from Star Wars Trivial Pursuit, which I think we could adapt for Firefly/Serenity:

Star Wars Trivial Pursuit
• The Cantina: This section contains questions that pertain to all the scenes, aliens, cameos, and more that give the films atmosphere. This includes locations that are merely passed through and characters that are on screen for a very short time.
• The Force: This section contains questions about the cause and effect of major events in the saga, like who caused a memorable action or what happened at a specific location.
• Heroes, Villains & Scoundrels: This section contains questions that pertain to all main characters including leading characters such as Anakin Skywalker, Obi-Wan Kenobi, Luke Skywalker, and Darth Vader, as well as key supporting roles such as C-3PO, Darth Maul, Leia, Jabba, etc.
• The Saga: This section contains questions that pertain to plot. For example, players will be asked questions like "Who says this line?" or "Who is missing from this scene?"
• A Galaxy Far, Far Away: This section contains questions that pertain to significant locations including planets, cities, specific buildings and features within them.
• Hyperspace: This is the wild card category where anything about Star Wars could be asked.

So, what do I need? Questions! I can come up with a bunch, but my brain only works the one way. So, I'm betting that I'd get a bunch of good ones from other fans. :) Also leave me a way to get ahold of you if you want to know where I post them when I'm done.

So far, this is only x-posted with the livejournal fireflyfans group. I know that the U-boards have been doing a trivia section on their website, but I can't find a way for me to get previous questions.

The Force: On which planet did the Battle of Serenity Valley take place? (Hera)

I'd suggest the following categories for Firefly/Serenity TP

Serenity: Questions about the ship and her crew.

Villians: Questions about everyone else in the Verse.

Vehicles and Technology: Questions about ships (other than Serenity), land vehicles, and the tech used in the Verse.

Locations: Questions about specific places and times in the Verse.

History: Questions about the Verse's (and the characters') past.

Can't Go Smooth: A Wild Card category where anything goes (production questions, perhaps?)

A sample card might look like this:

SER: Where do we first see Kaylee in the episode Out of Gas? (In the engine room)

VIL: Who did Niska kill to show his reputation was "solid"? (His wife's nephew)

VT: What was the name of the gun Saffron enlisted the crew of Serenity to steal? (The Lassiter)

LOC: What moon does Patience own half of? (Whitefall)

HIST: What rank was Malcolm Reynolds during the war? (Sargent)

CGS: Name both Executive Producers of Firefly (Joss Whedon, Tim Minear)

The best way to accumulate questions would be to name a category and have people post as many as they can from that category (with answers), then take the best.

I don't have any questions so far. :) Honestly, I was figuring I'd let people toss them up for a while and then fill in the areas that there aren't enough in when the time came. ;)

Like I said they are all based on the commentaries. And I'm not even sure if they say the "hat tricks" name they just say that he is.

I'm not worried about questions being too hard for the most part, as long as there's a good mix in there.

One of the questions on the Star Wars Trivial Pursuit is 'How many TIE fighters follow the Millenium Falcon out of Cloud City' for Pete's sake.

Plus, if you throw in a couple really hard ones, it keeps somebody from going around the board and winning on their first turn. Not that I've ever done that or anything. *innocent whistle*
