Theres so much detail in Firefly!

Okay, I watched "Safe" this morning, and I noticed something I never noticed before.

At the end, where there all sitting down to dinner, Jayne takes a bread roll and puts it on his plate. Then River takes it starts eating it, and Jayne looks at her annoyed and she just smiles, then Jayne takes another roll.

It's so funny and cute and I love it!

And this isnt the first time that I've noticed someting new on like, the tenth viewing of an ep...

So, is there anything you've noticed, that you didn't at first?

I do, but it is usually something subtle, like Wash's expression in the background (without in any way upstaging or scene stealing, he is so completely there every minute...he really wonderful to watch).

So I guess that is it, I watch different characters, the ones who don't have speaking lines, and I'm frequently moved by their performances.

And I love all the dinner scenes. When I went to the Advanced Screening I told my brother that I would have been perfectly content with a two hour movie of my 9 BDH sitting around the dinner table talking and interacting.... But of course that movie probably wouldn't have pulled in any new fans.

I agree with you 100% - so, am off to the London preview next week, am I gonna be mightily disappointed?? (was hoping for 2 hours of: "so there is kissin'?" etc...)

My wife & I sat & watched War Stories with the commentary last night. Again they made comment about Alan's 3 switches, so now I'm constantly looking to see when he flips them.

There is something else in this dinner scene I watched it the other day. Oh I thik i get it now! I always notice that Jayne reaches back across the tabe and grabs a roll. That must be because River starts to munch on his. ....gonna have to watch this one again.
