Ok so as you all know, and are probably coming to the shindig organised by moiself on 14th august (next sunday) its being held at my house

A few people expressed a wish to help out with regard to raiseing funds for the charity that supports children and families with congential heart disease, and its common knowledge browcoats are the best kind of people with the biggest hearts of all.

Id like to include something for Sunday, just to get us going, and so I can start a 'year of Serenity' browncoat fundraising diary, which will then go into the heartline magazine and possibly local press. Im think maybe holding a few more shindigs over the course of the rest of the year, and each time including something to raise money, then it will all add up.

What I need are ideas, what would you like to do. how would you like to raise the money. What can I do to sort things out.

If our American friends want to do something over there then please let me know, all help is appreciated.

For those who want a little more information

Congenital heart disease affects one in every hundred children, and can comprise many defects, from self correcting holes and narrowings, to much more complex needs, resulting in many many surgerys and in some cases a heart transplant is needed.
My daughter Chloe Rebecca has one of the most extreme diagnosis of this illness, and will need a transplant in just a few years time, and has already had many surgerys
Heartline has been a constant source of support for me, and although I do not feel the need to lean on them so much any more, there are plenty of people who rely on the to get through day to day. The are not government funded at all, and rely on all donations to get through

you can visit them at
www.heartline.org.uk

So yes, any help, ideas....go...

No ideas as of yet, but I thought I better tell you that I've been reading.
Ideas people! .

Q: What do you have when you are holding two little green balls in your hand.
A: Kermit's undivided attention.

KALLIOPE

Off the top of my head and with a bottle of Neil Ellis Sauvignon Blanc in me...

Knowing nothing about your personal circumstances, law- and time-requirements, this may or may not be do-able, but here goes...

Clear out your bookshelves, wardrobe, kitchen drawers and the kids' toy storage and hold a garage sale.
Or sell it on ebay, announcing the good cause.
(The great side effect is getting rid of STUFF!)

Bake (cheese)cake or cookies or make jam, badges and pins and sell them in said garage sale or a flea market or whatnot...

Offer to run errands for the eldery neighbours for a (small) fee, like shopping, driving them to the doctor or watering the flowers while they're away...

Uh... yup, that's it, with the foggy brain and all.

Whatever you come up with, let us know!
And ya'all have fun next weekend, you hear!?!
I wish I could be there...
*off to ponder and sulk* I guess it's time to visit my brother in London again... soon!
