Can someone help me figure out what is happening with this? For years the number 444 keeps coming up everywhere. At first I noticed that every time I looked at a clock it was 4:44. After that I got a new parking tag at work and the number was 444. I bought a new house and it was 44.4 miles from work. I see it on license tags and it pops up in my work regularly. I am going 444 crazy! Any ideas?

I have the same issue with the number 1020.

Seriously.

I really do.

When I was a kid, there was a burger joint in my hometown called the "1020 Restaurant," after the street address. I thought it was a funky name. But ever since that time, the number has kept cropping up in my life; license plates, phone numbers, ID and account numbers, signs, etc.

If there is some ultimate significance to this number and how it relates to my life, I'm sure I'll find it out sooner or later. With regards to your 444, at least it ain't 666. Then 'd be concerned.

I've got a similar thing going on with me and the number 47 (It doesn't help that I watch Star Trek:TNG and Alias a lot. Don't know what I mean? Watch them, and look for the number 47. You'll be surprised how much it turns up)

Thanks to all of you for responding. At least now I know I am not alone! I have read that 444 and 1111 have something to do with Angels. However after reading the responses I'm thinking that maybe this is a thing that happens regularly with many people although the numbers may vary. Maybe its a purely human phenomena having nothing to do with Angels. Anyway it's still a mystery and it is still ongoing. And as our Browncoat buddy stated "at least it ain't 666!"

you've probably just trained yourself to look for it - you see all the other numbers but your consciousness only recognises that one.

After years of watching the xfiles - most every clock i look at either says 11.21 or 10.13 !

either that or i just get bored mid-morning!

Unfortunately, however - 4 is considered rather unlucky by the chinese!

sorry I'm sure there's a culture somewhere that thinks 4 is lucky! - yeah here we go - fun facts about four!

The Number 4

For the ancient Hebrews, the number 4 was considered to be especially significant. This connects to a mystical understanding of YHVH, the four-letter name of God, which was traditionally never written down. The number 4 and its equivalent geometrical shape, the square, were considered to be sacred by ancient cultures that believed the world was flat.

Many modern Pagan religions find within the number 4 a representation of the four directions (north, south, east and west) as well as the four elements of earth, air, fire, and water.

Deities associated with the number four are the fatherly Gods such as the Roman God Jupiter, the Norse God Odin and the Greek God Zeus.

Number 4 is associated with the colors green and emerald. The gemstones symbolized by 4 are jade and emerald. Plants associated with four are ivy, bamboo and baby's breath.

Some superstitions about the number 4 include:

A four-leaf clover brings luck.

If four cookies fuse together in the oven while you are baking there will be a wedding.

Four ravens clustered together on a tree branch means there will be a wedding.

Finding four colors in one pansy petal bodes health, wealth, happiness and prosperity.

A house with the number 4 in the address is very inauspicious.

Keeping the four aces of an ordinary playing deck on your person is thought to bring power (spades), wealth (diamonds), love (hearts) and popularity (clubs).

Finding four colors in one pansy petal bodes health, wealth, happiness and prosperity.

If you hold the four of clubs while playing a card game, you will always lose.

If you wash your hair on the 4th day of the month you will go gray early.

It is unlucky to get married June 4th or October 4th.

If you dream about the number 4, you will soon be handed a lucky opportunity.

If there were any significance to a number like 444, someone would have written a book about it.

I also know the feeling. Mine is actually 13. It's creepy how often it seems to come up. I can't tell you how many times I've been paying at some store and the charge has come to $13.00. When my wife and I were setting a date we chose the month first, and the only day that was available that fit our schedule was the 13th. When we were househunting we found a house that was perfect for us, street address... 1013. ...

Some numerologist/diviners believe that such a thing is a "Fate Number" warning you to pay especial attention to some forthcoming events, in order to avert a fubar or get the best out of them.

Not sure how much stock I'd put in that theory...
(Another version of it is the same thing, only from your guardian angel)
But I've ducked a couple of nasty significant events by taking notice and alert after said number prominently crops up.

Could be luck, could be random chance, but who really knows, more things on heaven and earth than mortal eyes do see, I suppose.

Try being alert and paying more attention to events around you upon spotting a prominent display of said number - worth a try and not like it costs ya nothin.

I think Huitzil should write it. He certainly has a good start on the material.

Well I checked it out and the book just might have some explanations for me. This 444 thing has been going on for ten years now and any enlightenment would be appreciated. Thanks very much for pointing it out to me.
