Hey everyone. Well it looks like I'll be able to get down to Atlanta for my first ever Dragon*Con. Real excited to be there. I went to the official site and I was a little confused on where I could get a schedule of what's going on. I know there'll be panels and all but..

Anyway, my main question is: What stuff for us Browncoats will be going on? I don't remember much from when you guys discussed it last time around but there was something about Bloopers or something Adam showed?

I'm real curious and excited to possibly have a chance to meet you all.

Hey Gwen. Looking forward to seeing you at the con. It's a great time. The reason you can't find a schedule is because one doesn't exist yet. It's not uncommon that there won't be a schedule until a couple days or so before the con. This, I assume, is due largely to the fact that the organizers continue to work at obtaining guests up until the very last minute - last year, Nathan and Adam committed to attending the con fairly late in the game. As far as events lined up for Browncoats, the big event, of course, will be a Q&A with the BDHs as well as an opportunity to meet them and get autographs etc. A fan table will be set up where volunteers will hand out info and swag to passers by, and last year, it was common for the BDHs to swing by the fan table and say hey. There will be a Browncoat Ball. And there may be a handful of panel discussions, viewing parties, games, etc. which won't feature BDHs, but if last year's con remains precedent - they may surprise you and show up!

The SEBC (Southeastern Browncoats) have a listing of the Firefly Events at their website

http://www.southeasternbrowncoats.org/

I'm also the SEBC parade group organizer. So if you've got a costume (screen-accurate or inspired-from) your more than welcome to join us. We number 13 confirmed marchers with at least ten more maybe's.

If your interested email me at TechieCL AT gmail DOT com

Hey, where are they going to have the Firefly panels? I was at Comic Con and they had Firefly in Hall H which holds about a million people, and it was FULL. Ok, not a million, but waaaaaay more than those basement rooms that D*C usually puts panels. Hopefully the panels with the actors and Josh will be in the ballrooms?

Hey guys; looking forward to Dragon as always. For those of you who have never been, be prepared for an extremely large and busy (but none-the-less great) con. Dragon never disappoints.

Question: if items such as parasols and Oriental style jackets were for sale, would anyone be interested? Thanks for the feedback.

There's a long Dragon*Con thread already underway with good info at:
http://www.fireflyfans.net/thread.asp?b=2&t=11037#top

As far as selling stuff, there's supposedly no selling at the fan tables allowed, but there are browncoats organizing a room based sell in the hotel. Pretty chinese brocade jackets sound shiny to me!

Tell me more about this room sale...I know about an art walk (for all genres, not just FF), but haven't heard about a room sale! I'd be interested in participating...need to try to support my D*C trip!

The panels will very, very likely be in the ballrooms...they were last year. In fact, the first day there was only one ballroom booked...we overran it. By the last panel, we were up to 3 ballrooms all at once, and had bumped so many other panels to the "lower levels" that buzz REALLY began to build about Firefly....("What in the world are all those people talking about in there?")

There will be other fan events and smaller panels in the other rooms, but Joss and the BDH panels will be in the big'uns!

I would not be selling at the fan table but actually in the dealers room if there is interest in parasols and oriental jackets. Sorry about the confusion about selling at the fan table.

No, I understood about the fan table (there will be some limited stuff sold at the SEBC table, but it's already reached max quantity and has been cut off from what I understand)...I was interested in an impromptu room sale. Aren't dealer's tables a bit pricey, and can you even get one at this date?

I am already part of a group that has a table in the dealers room selling costumes, chain mail, drums, etc. I've been concentrating on making pirate coats but still have time to turn out a few oriental jackets if there seems to be an interest in them. If not, I'll just keep churning out pirate captains. Thanks for the reply. Hope to see you all at Dragon.

And I'm a muckety-muck for the Art Crawl, so I'm available to answer questions about that. I'll be selling a lot of Firefly stuff from my Art Crawl display, including prints, light boxes and window decals, so don't forget to visit me! (And as Shiny's my roomie, ya never know what might happen...)

May have been the losing side. Still not convinced it was the wrong one.

I sure hope not

As long as I can find a place to set up and people can find me, I doubt it will last long. I should have at least 5 prints of each BDH, and as many artsy & crafty things as I can make between now and then (making a few things for other fandoms and a Humane Society gig in 2 weeks).

Watch out Atlanta, here I come!
