Okay, I hope you won't mind if I ask you to help me name my new frogs. I have three on my desk at work now, Larry, Moe and Curly, but I need two more names for new ones I plan to give to the hubby. What do you think of Neptune and Poseidon? And, come to think of it, I need a name for my betta too!

You people are always so danged funny and witty, I know you'll think of something I would have missed!

STARRBABY

I named my beta Mordechai, becasue it is Hebrew for warrior. Another good name for one that is especially firey is Fuego. (spanish for fire)

Given the previous naming scheme, I wonder why you don't use the other two stooges: Shemp and Curly Joe.

On a shinier note, Hotaru is firefly in Japanese. (Not to be confused with Hoteru, which would be Hotel.)

I like both of these! Mordechai is especially appropriate considering what little warriors bettas are. And I just recently lost a fiery red betta. He was replaced by a blue one. I think I will name him Mordechai. Thanks for helping!

Well I think that is a really good idea to name the other two frogs Shemp and Curly Joe but they are not really going to be my buddies. They're going to be my hubby's and he works on another floor. But I could still mention it to him, he usually goes along with anything! Hotaru is a good name too. I'll have to keep that one in mind in case I get another betta. My desk is turning into an aquarium. I should start charging admission. Now all the coworkers are wanting frogs and bettas too! They are so much fun to watch during the day.

I was checking out the hermit crabs at the pet store yesterday! I briefly considered it but all those legs make me a little squeamish. Mei Mei I remember that is what Simon said to River but don't remember what it means. Little Sister?

Bananarama

hermit crabs aren't for every one LOL
(unfortunately , a majority of places that sell hermit crabs don't know squat so they give out all this misinformation...)
Okay, I'll get off the soap box now lol...

Are you talking about little bitty hermit crabs? That's what I saw yesterday, about the size of a nickel, right?

PHAEDRA

Mei-Mei does mean little sister. As to the frog, I've always been a fan of the name Friedrech for some strange reason. I used to have a tree frog name Friedrech the Mad Prussian Frog. We called him Fred for short.

Phaedra (a bad luck name)

you've surely got to call it badger. This is firstly a reference to the worlds funniest man with hat and secondly because it's a fantastic way to confuse an animal, call it by another species

I LOVE this, you folks are too dang FUNNY! Seriously though I think I will tell the hubby to name them Badger and Hamster. I like that and, after all, Hamsters is nice.
