we've probably had threads like this before, but I couldn't find one to revive so I thought I would start a new one...
I was just watching '28 Days', which I had seen a long time ago (it is that lame drug rehab movie Sandra Bullock starred in),
but I hadn't remembered that Alan Tudyk was in it, and he was brilliant!
A sensitive funny performance, he is even in the closing scene...and he made me cry.

I am so sorry I couldn't get in to see him on stage in 'Spamalot'
I've become a HUGE Alan Tudyk fan!
I want a t-shirt of him like the one he was wearing of himself at the end of '28 days'
LOL

So, have you been watching any of our BDHs in any other projects (TV Films Plays)?
please share

STARRBABY

I could have sworn that I caught a glimpse of Summer in a comercial for "The 4400" on USA. I hope they didn't typecast her as a slightly messed up psychic . . . lol.

Summer Glau WAS in the first episode of this year's 4400
she played an insane girl
(so not a big change from River, unfortunately)
I'm afraid it might be her only appearance though.
Has anyone heard if she'll be appearing again?

REGINAROADIE

Recently, I actually saw a BDV (Big Damn Villain) in this movie called THIRTEEN DAYS. The guy that played Niska was in the movie, which was about the Cuban Missile Crisis. Oddly enough, he played a guy named Adelai. But he was a good guy. He was Adelai Stephenson, the U.S. representative at the U.N. who was one of the key people during the crisis that kept the entire planet from going up into a radioactive crisp.

It would've been an interesting bit of casting against type, if the flick hadn't come out two years before the show started.

And wow! Hey! What's this thing suddenly coming towards me very fast? Very very fast. So big and flat and round, it needs a big wide sounding name like ... ow ... ound ... round ... ground! That's it! That's a good name - ground! I wonder if it will be friends with me?

I asw Alan in Spamalot on the 25th. He played several characters (some of the best bits from the movie, in my opinion!) and was brilliantly funny.

I got his autograph on my Playbill when the show was finished. I said "I'm counting the days to Serenity!" He gave me a smile and said, "How many days now? Oh right, September 30th!". When I left the crowd to show it to my mom, he walked right by me, and I'm kicking myself so hard for forgetting to ask him for a picture!!

Stevenson was the democratic candiate for President in 1952 and 1956. The calling out of the russian represntive was the keystone in changing opinion of this being the US's fault.

LIZANNE

A friend of mine unearthed some vhs tapes of a television show she'd watched and liked a while ago. She wouldn't share what show it was but when we put them in.. it was Two Guys and a Girl. I had Nathan drool.

My father has the first season of Barney Miller on DVD and Ron Glass is in that.

I watched the last season of X-Files with Super Soldier Adam Baldwin.

And now I have a strong desire to re-watch the Matrix and fast-forward till Gina is in it. :cD

Who can forget Alan in A Knights Tale. "I will fong you!" ooo.. I feel a Netflix urge coming on.

Ok, done now. :cD

Liz
Nathan sat next to me.

BLEYDDYN

Mark "Badger" Shephard was in a Wesley Snipes movie called Unstoppable (or "9 Lives", seems to have had two names). He played a somewhat eviler villain.

Alan Tudyk also had a few good scenes in Wonder Boys - not a bad flick. Also, my namesake (from Dodgeball, for the confused). Perhaps the most touching, nuanced performance of his career.
