Backstage West is a trade publication for those of us starving actors trying to get work in sunny California. In addition to a long section listing projects and audition info, they also profile a different actor each week. This week, I pulled my copy out of the mailbox, and hollered with pleasure as I realized that our very own Wash was on the cover! And he gives both Firefly and Serenity shout-outs in the article.

Here's the link to the article itself:

and to Backstage's site:

Enjoy!

"A lot of people recognize me from [the short-lived cult TV series] Firefly because it's the one I don't have an accent in; it's my own voice. Also, those fans are very...enthusiastic is the word I would use."

Yea, we're enthusiastic!

great article, thanks Amalthea1

We are very touchy-feely too

It was great for Alan to turn up at the Srenity Con in the UK at the end of April & he was blown away by the Washosaurus costume which was Wash riding on the back of a T`rex, complete with Wash mask & mannerisms.

p.s. we need photos of Alan in his new role.

It's a newspaper-type publication, if you live in LA you can pick it up at any newsstand. I'm not sure where'd you could find it otherwise; maybe Borders or Barnes and Noble? If you're starting out in the whole acting field, it's a great resource.

That will be fantastic stuff, DoubleShiny.

I really want to see how Alan gets along with Spamalot - let`s hope that when it comes to London that Alan will still be playing his role.

If you live on the West Coast, you can find it at any good news stand or bookstore.
Look over where you'd find DanceMagazine, Variety, Hollywood Reporter and other trade mags for the entertainment industry.
Or just go to their website and see if you can order a single copy.

If you want to just get a copy of this issue (and you should, the pictures are great!) you can also call 323.525.2356 and either stop by to pick one up or they'll tell you where to send a check. It's the June 2 issue.
