I saw an ad for the new season of SG-1, which mentioned the return of the Friday night lineup.(SG-1,SG-Atlantis,BSG) Missing so far has been any mention of Firefly, which appears right before SG-1.

Has anyone seen an ad yet?

If so, how are they pitching this cancelled show from another network ?

7pm sort of falls outside the prime time slots but I should think some ad should start soon

Also, I can kill you with my brain.

I've got an uneasy feeling about this. Per the SciFi schedule,

Date Time Program Title
07/22/2005 07:00 PM FIREFLY
07/29/2005 06:00 PM FIREFLY
07/29/2005 07:00 PM FIREFLY

Seems they plan to air 2 eps back to back on July 29. You don't think they'd pull what the pin heads over at F*X did by airing THE TRAIN JOB before the 2 hr pilot, do ya?
It don't make no sense no how...if that's indeed what they're plannin.

It is possible they will air the first half of Serenity the first week, then air both parts the following week. That would allow viewers who missed the first half to catch up on what they missed, as well as allow last weeks viewers to become reacquainted with the story. Only speculation, mind you, but not a bad theory, if I do say so myself.

Hmmm. Good idea, actually. Hopefully, they will do just that. That would be the best way to introduce the series, and the way they have that first July 29th show sheduled for 6 p.m. instead of 7... Makes a lot of sense.

That does seem to be their way.

They play a two-part premiere by playing part one and then parts one and two next week. It’s only in repeats that they keep the parts separate both weeks.
