Somebody posted in the last 24 hours (and unfortunately I can't remember what thread it was on) something about the logo on the hull of Serenity and how it was always there but not as detailed as what now appears in the BDM and subsequently the movie promo items.

Perhaps I need to look back through all the episodes when I can get them back from everyone currently on the list to borrow them from me (My DVD set has become VERY popular in the last couple of weeks, so this could take some time!) but I do not recall Serenity ever having her name painted anywhere on the hull during the series. Am I wrong and perhaps just mostly blind?

Same here. I'd like to know where that logo has appeared in the orignal series my own self. Episode and a rough description of scene would be nice, if possible.

" They don't like it when you shoot at 'em. I worked that out myself. "

It was in the episode "Serenity" when Serenity is landed on Persephone. Pay attention to the Port side aft of the bridge on the "neck". If you blink you might miss it.

In the `Serenity` pilot episode, when shepherd book is looking at the ships - the Serenity Logo is there with the word `SERENITY` at the bottom of the ships logo.

I`m sure there is a screencap somewhere, sorry, I`m too tired to go and look.

Darin (Zol.)

p.s. it was on a cloth patch - you might want to check the fan costumes etc.

Okay, I need that in captain dummy talk. (Right? Left? Forward?)

"One day, lad, all this will be yours ..."
"What - the curtains?"

Port translates to 'Left'. Aft translates to 'rear'.

" They don't like it when you shoot at 'em. I worked that out myself. "

Thanks! I'm sure that's second nature to a lot of people, but it's like me using dorsal or caudal to people not in vet medicine.

*Walks away muttering, "Port=left. Aft=rear. Port=left. Aft=rear."*

"One day, lad, all this will be yours ..."
"What - the curtains?"
