There's no place I can be since I found Serenity.

Luckily they were saved and archived by others, and are available now at:

http://www.profj.org/firefly/luxlucre/

The people who run browncoats.com are supposedly trying to repurchase the domain name of luxlucre.com, and if they are successful then they will take over hosting of this content.

FLOATER68

For those who don't know, Lux (aka Terry) died suddenly in January at the age of 41 due to complications with diabetes. You will find many tributes to him on the original FOX official board. Certain Browncoats were able to preserve his Firefly art and maintain the website.

KENADAK

Sorry to hear that Floater68, I remember when this was originally posted and thought it was a riot. I'm glad his legacy has been preserved.

Thanks for the link, ecgordon. It’s good to know newer newbies than me still have a chance to see Lux’s work. Those cartoons of his are so funny.

That's a real shame, I can tell he was a tremendously talented guy. My heart goes out to his family and friends.

Could you please just make it stranger? Stranger. Odder. Could be weirder. More bizarre. How about uncanny?

Was feeling nostalgic and came to find some good ol' Lux-uries, and, well, gorramit, all these links are dead/NSFW etc. now.

Anyone know where I can find any of Lux's contributions to our Browncoat community (besides the Filk, that's still here!)

Thanks in advance.

Keep the Shiny side up

Yeah. And if Haken could pull the link out of that first post, it might save folks some embarrasment.

Serenity Park still exists. There are four pages described as "conceived by Lux Lucre; comic by Wydraz" at www.webcomicsnation.com/serenitytales/st_serenitypark01/series.php

There are also other Firefly comics done in other styles. Select from the drop-down menu.

LWAVES

Wow. This might just be the oldest FFF.net thread ever that was dragged back into life. Slightly over 9 years ago since the thread was started.

I say let the link stay. If folks can't read the latest posts and find out that the links are NSFW then it's their own fault.

Of course, you could also say that if you hadn't posted in this thread, it wouldn't have listed in 'Latest Thread Updates' and no one would be clicking the link out of curiousity (except you).

On topic: I don't remember exactly which pictures the link contained but I believe I have some/all of Lux's images in an archive somewhere on one of my hard drives. But I'm also sure that they are still available online so a general search might be in order.
If you still have no luck then let me know and I'll start an expedition to look for my files.

There is always the Wayback Machine, which does have an ancient and clean snapshot of "The Lair of Lux Lucre" -- http://web.archive.org/web/20030628112936/http://lairofluxlucre.com/al

Xie xie, crew! You guys are the shiniest!

Even though I wasn't around during the Lux Era, he was one of my primary inspirations for a lot of the work I did. Him and 11th Hour. May they both rest in peace. They're part of what really pulled me into the Browncoat community.

Thanks again!

Oh yeah, I remember that...because Wydraz asked to use my SP style Reavers that I had created for my Gorram Reavers game (as I said, inspired by Lux!)

Good times... *happy sigh*
