The fandom starts here:

www.theinside.org

Starts in a few weeks, US viewers. It stars Adam Baldwin (Jayne from Firefly), and is written/directed/produced/show ran by Tim Minear, who wrote Out of Gas and show ran Firefly, Angel and Wonderfalls.

They're using the old Buffy sets and writing offices, and the writing staff includes veterans of both Buffy and Angel.

It's on Fox, but Fox actually LIKE the show this time, and are already promoting it.

It's my site, and I'd be happy if anybody interested would join in and help get the word out. If people watch it, it'll stay flyin' this time.

Hey, looks good. I just joined. It could maybe use a "Home" button on the various pages. But it does look nice.

"It's on Fox, but Fox actually LIKE the show this time, and are already promoting it."

Don't see much evidence here that they "like" The Inside more than other shows that they have cancelled quickly. They commissioned a completely different concept (21 Jump Street clone), didn't like the pilot, creators leave the show along with most of the cast, Tim brought in to fix the show, he completely rebuilds the concept from scratch, Fox pencils it in for March, but decided to hold it back until June (still known as a wasteland period in broadcastland) for unstated reasons. At least it wasn't tossed into Friday nights.

I must be technologically challenged tonight -- it happens sometimes -- but how do I join up? I'm just not seeing how to create an account. I see the login and send password buttons...

Thanks!

Well, it did just go active today, maybe it's missing from the main page. Click on forums near the top of the page. You should then see a black and white photo at the top of the page and immediatelly under that on the far right "Register". That should get you on board. There's a couple of photos (I couldn't see the third one)and a couple of topics. Again, It's new.

Hopefully it's not cancelled, it looks really good. Oh wait that's the sort of thing FOX cancels. Hopefully not this time, if so...DVD set and a movie from Universal?

I joined...and fyi, it was a little hard to find out where to register till I hit on the forum option.

I've been promoting this show like mad since last fall on lj. Sadly, even baldwin fans seems scared to watch it for fear of the fox/minear curse.

Just to let y'all know, I will fix the Register button this afternoon...

It's a very, very fresh site (literally a few hours ago) so needs a lot of tweaking. I'm up for any help people can provide, too - the website is all dynamically generated so anybody can help add content and such.

I don't think Adam Baldwin is playing Virgil Webster. Go look at the imdb entry:

Yep, that is fixed. I've added cast and crew lists, and started an episode guide.

The site layout has been stripped down and is being redesigned. It's starting to look easier to navigate, but any corrections/suggestions are welcome.

May have been the losing side. Still not convinced it was the wrong one.

I am a bit skeptical too about the show being on Fox. If it is not a reality show, I don't hold out much hope of Fox doing all they can to promote and manage the show properly.

I do look forward to "The Inside" and will be watching it even though it airs on the devil Fox network.

Joined up over at the site. Not too bad so far.

Much more info about the show now here:

http://www.theinside.org/content/view/17/1/

Warning: spoilers. This is the actual show press release, though, so pretty much everywhere is going to have this info.

David Fury is also working on six episodes of it,
before he moves over to work on '24' next season.

It is supposed to start June 8th which is actually a good sign:
it'll be up against reruns of other shows which will allow it to build a fan base...
AND a Wednesday night, not Friday! LOL

The site is looking pretty cool; I'm in.

And I second the suggestion about a "Home" button from the forums page. It would make navigation easier.

Here's hoping we get to create an attachment to the characters before they cancel it, bastards.

Just to clarify, the big logo at the top of the forums (the pasty white guy) takes you back 'home'.

The user interface on the forums needs a LOT of work - let me know of any suggestions. Like I say, the site is still very very young (less than 24 hours old...) so will develop a lot before the show starts hopefully...

Ohh, I think we'll have time to "create an attachment to the characters before they cancel it" and maybe even before Tim kills off a few of them : )
Things are looking great Whoisriver!
